got this new Titan 18 HX AI A2XWIG for 2 months now, and still fighting the sound problem.

Attached is an MP3 zipped up, with the stutter, and that keeps going on and on.. Tech support tells me that i need to send in the laptop for repair, which i have a hard time believing, since i see others with the same problem.

Already did the following
1. Re-installed the laptop from Scratch
2. Re-installed all the drivers.
3. Updated all the drivers.
4. I had Norton before, but left it of this time, and it's still doing the same thing.
5. disabled most sound drivers, and still the same problem.
6. Re-installled Nihimic, but still the same
7. Sonar program is doing the exact same thing.
8. Removed Wireless Killer software.

I am running out of options here...
Any other thoughts?

So you still have audio issues? Is it possible to see a video of the laptop making bad audio? Did you see open event viewer or "view reliable history" to see what audio program is crashing behind the scene?

posted the sound in my first post.
nothing in event viewer.

it's happening with everything. Winamp, Power DVD, Ableton, online YouTube, and other page with sound.
nothing is crashing.

Do you mind posting your "view reliability history" so i can verify? Like this. Type "view reliability history" in search.

And also for event viewer by filtering for errors under applications

The audio issue that i was facing is the AUDIODB.exe keep broken when any application start playing sound

here you go
this only shows a few errors, but the sound issue is happening all the time.
also, I don't have that audio program you mentioned.

Its rather interesting that you have so many programs stopped working. Somemore, this app "GameInput" by Microsoft seems to be crashing a lot. Do you mind showing the "SidebySide" error in the 3rd picture. Maybe your problem is that this application has multiple version and they are conflicting each other. Not sure whether that is the reason for your audio. Before you start fixing that, First show me the error on the event viewer.

Don't start changing anything first. We want to focus the problem without add other problems

Can you also do this check without uninstalling? Just label yes or no

To check for duplicate GameInput Redist Service entries

1. Check for Duplicate Installations (Settings)
  1. Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
  2. Search for "Microsoft GameInput".
  3. If you see multiple entries (e.g., an older version from 2023 or 2024 alongside a newer one), this is a duplicate.

2. Check for Duplicate Services (services.msc)
  1. Press Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
  2. Scroll down to find "GameInput Service" and "GameInput Redist Service".
  3. If you see "GameInput Service" listed twice, or both that and "GameInput Redist Service" appearing together, you have duplicates.

3. Check for Duplicate File Locations
  1. Open File Explorer and check these two paths:
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft GameInput\x64\
    • C:\Windows\System32\
  2. If GameInputSvc.exe exists in both locations, this is a known conflict causing crashes.

4. Check Task Manager (Running Processes)
  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  2. Navigate to the Details tab.
  3. Search for GameInputSvc.exe. If you see two instances running simultaneously, you have a duplicate issue.

In my case it looks like this.. The frequency of crashing has lowered significantly, since i clean reinstalled windows (offline method), disabled getting driver updates from windows update and manually installed the latest drivers (from MSI, INTEL, and NVIDIA). Latest windows updates are always applied to my system (feature and security - current OS build 25H2, 26200.8039).

No other programs stop working (unless I update an nvidia driver for example). Audiodg.exe randomly crashes (almost always when I'm simply browsing the web.. Haven't crashed while gaming..). When this happens audio gltiches, and at the same time video playback pauses. After a few sec, it works again.. No matter what I tried I couldn't completely eliminate the issue. Permanently setting CPU affinity of audiodg process to 4 cores (instead of all of them), maybe helped a bit in reducing the frequency of the issue.

As I mentioned in prior posts this issue happens regardless of the gpu mode (discrete vs hybrid), and has been happening for many months in many users (I noticed it after win25h2 update). It doesn't happen in linux - it's definitely not a hardware issue. Audio enchancements on or off, nahimic installed or not installed.. Doesn't make a difference.

  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft GameInput\x64\ does not exist
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft GameInput does not exist
  • it's in program files\

the 1st service "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.GamingServices_34.111.20001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\GamingServicesNet.exe"
the 2nd service "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.GamingServices_34.111.20001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\GamingServicesNet.exe"

well did all the updates, and now i have also that audiodg.exe crashes.. did not have that program before in that list
By updating, you are making it hard to diagnose the problem. So Is everything fine except for audiodg.exe crashes? Is there any new app crashes except for the audiodg.exe? is the audio issue still happening?

Do you mind sending again the new "view reliability history" and event view for today? Just run all programs you are using then screenshot the errors so I see if there is any changes?

Question: What is your current driver in the audio section of MSI Center?

All latest versions are installed (MSI Vector 16 HX AI A2XWHG).
- No conflicting drivers (because I formatted a week ago and immediately installed the latest versions from msi website).
- No windows corruption files (every update succeed - because I connected to the internet and did them after my manual driver installation. I disabled getting driver updates via windows update.. They cause problems and install outdated versions e.g. intel graphics...).
- I am attaching yesterday's reliability monitor results, as an example.. Audiodg.exe errors only.

Hi, May i ask what is your version of Nahimic App?

1774787455731.png

I try to recreate the same problem but I didn't get back the AudioDg.exe, For my case, when i review my crash report, Nahimic appear in my trace.

Do you also mind pm me a crash report for Audiodg.exe under "C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\CrashDumps" using msi conversation?
