Stuttering sound

Hi everyone,
I tried the official Nahimic 5.0.5 and it fixed the sound cracking issue on my Vector 16 HX AI. I haven’t heard any cracking sounds for 2 days after installing it. I didn’t have much time to fully test it yet, but hopefully this helps you guys too.
MSI FAQ link as well if anyone needs it:

Give it a try if you’re not sure what else to do after all and nothing fixed for u. hehehe :LOL::LOL:

wow..... Thanks... That solved everything for me..

Hmmm, hopefully that new Nahimic version really does solve it. I was about to buy a Vector 16 until I read about this audio issue. Looks like a good laptop, but no way am I putting up with that.

It's better not to buy this. I have two MSI Vector laptops. Both have the same sound problems. I bought the latest one a week ago. And nothing helps. Endless stuttering and sound freezing. BIOS 117 didn't help either. It's just some kind of garbage. I'm very disappointed with the MSI brand!

The link still working for me. Could you try again ? And I don't think they will update the new driver in FAQ.

My advice is to avoid buying the Vector 16 for now. This audio glitch could potentially come back, and I'm not sure whether the issue has been completely resolved. Until there's more confirmation that it's permanently fixed, I'd recommend looking at other options.

too bad MSI does not yet have a Nahimic APO4 5.0.6.0 driver version - which can be found through a google search

the FAQ link is working again as it was restored a few days ago.

also recommended to use this realtek audio driver (latest is 6.0.9977.1 released early May 2026 to desktop MB users but can also work for laptop pcs, aio/desktops & gaming handheld pcs as well) along with the recent Nahimic 5.0.6 APO driver

Tried the 5.0.6 ones, and they cause a lot of artifact noises again, and the sound is not that loud anymore.. went back to 5.0.5 and no issues anymore... so sticking with 5.0.5

Recently running the GenericNahimicrestoreTool.exe file from this Nahimic support page updates the Nahimic APO4 driver to 5.0.7.0.
Best used with latest Nahimic app from MS Store which is currently version 1.10.11.0.

Realtek audio driver updated to version 6.0.9998.1 on June 23 {same download link, new version; replaces the 6.0.9977.1 version}

thanks. can you request a 5.0.7 release from Nahimic?

Are you already on APO 5.0.7.0 ?
If that driver is working for you, I'd recommend sticking with it. I can't request a driver from Nahimic directly . Only MSI can request it and publish it on their website. I can only share the download link after MSI has posted it.
I'm also still using version 5.0.5.0. It's the best driver I've used so far. Version 5.0.6.0 brought the crackling sound issue back, so I went back to 5.0.5.0.

forget it

Microsoft has posted an A-volute Nahimic APO4 5.0.7.0 driver version near end of July 2026 on the Microsoft Update Catalog site (which MSI so far has not yet obtained; so MS has beaten MSI to the punch)

though the new 5.0.7.0 version does not include the "Nahimic Companion" app nor does Nahimic Companion load at startup with this version, which I like or prefer (and not experiencing any crackling sounds but that problem may vary for other users)
