Hello!
I have an MSI Katana GF66 laptop with an i7 12th generation processor and an RTX 3060 graphics card. Currently, it has an LCD screen, and I am considering replacing it with an OLED screen.
I found several OLED screens with a 40-pin eDP connector, such as:
1. Samsung ATNA56AC01-0 – 15.6 inches, 2880×1620 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate.
2. Samsung ATNA56WR14-0 – 15.6 inches, 3840×2160 (4K) resolution, 440 cd/m² brightness, 40-pin eDP connector.
Additionally, I am interested in OLED screens with a 1920×1080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate with a 40-pin eDP connector. Could you please recommend suitable options?
I would like to know:
1. Is it possible to replace the LCD screen with one of these OLED screens without issues with the BIOS or drivers?
2. Will the laptop correctly recognize the new screen? Could there be any problems with brightness or power management?
3. Could such a replacement cause unpredictable behavior or stability issues?
