I’m using the Stealth 16 AI Studio A1VFG laptop, and I’ve been experiencing FPS drops while gaming. sometimes, I don’t have any FPS issues and can play smoothly, but normally while playing games like where winds meet , rdr 2 etc.... even with low graphics , the fans suddenly ramp up in auto mode and my FPS drops drastically to around 8–9 FPS. I’ve also noticed the same problem different games on low graphics settings, it happens constantly. and when I reconnect the charger, it somehow resets the power delivery. I do happen to diagnosis my laptop then I found that there is inconvenience between cpu and gpu where my gpu does not get power supply due to heat maybe.... i am going to attach my diagnosis reports and if there is any solution tell me how to solve it . WHEN I HAVE GIVE THESE REPORT TO CHATGPT I HAVE CONCLUDED
Issue Description:
I am experiencing sudden FPS drops across multiple games. The issue is not limited to a specific title and occurs under consistent gameplay conditions.

Observed Behavior (from monitoring logs):

  • GPU usage stays around 90–100% during normal gameplay
  • At the moment of FPS drop:
    • GPU usage suddenly drops to 20–40%
    • CPU usage spikes to around 60–70%
  • FPS drops significantly during these moments and then recovers
  • This pattern repeats intermittently
System Details:

  • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 155H
  • GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060 Laptop GPU
  • RAM: 32GB
  • Storage: SSD (Samsung)
Additional Observations:

  • RAM usage is stable (~35–45%), no memory bottleneck
  • Disk usage is minimal, no I/O bottleneck
  • Fans are already running at high speeds (~6000+ RPM)
  • Issue occurs in multiple games, not a single title
Suspected Cause:

  • CPU bottleneck during sudden workload spikes (AI/physics/asset loading)
  • Possible thermal or power throttling limiting CPU performance
  • GPU underutilization due to CPU not feeding frames fast enough
What I Need Help With:

  • Confirmation if this is expected behavior for this CPU-GPU combination
  • Any BIOS/driver/power settings to prevent CPU throttling
  • Optimization recommendations to maintain stable GPU utilization
Summary:
This appears to be a CPU or power/thermal limitation causing temporary GPU underutilization, resulting in FPS drops.

Any guidance or fixes would be appreciated.

Try reinstalling your graphics driver.
If you still experience frame rate drops,
try disabling the triple buffering feature in the graphics control panel.
Also, try disabling the FXAA anti-aliasing feature.
If that doesn't solve the problem, try disabling the multi-frame anti-aliasing (MFAA) feature as well.

those three options are already in off mode and i have reinstalled my graphics driver , but still these issues are not solving
However, the issue still persists.

From monitoring logs, I consistently observe that during FPS drops:

  • GPU usage drops significantly (from ~90% to ~30%)
  • CPU usage spikes at the same time
This indicates the GPU is not the limiting factor, and the issue appears to be related to CPU performance, power limits, or thermal throttling rather than GPU rendering settings.
Could you please advise on:
  • CPU power/thermal throttling behavior
  • BIOS or firmware updates related to performance stability
  • Any platform-level optimizations for Intel Core Ultra systems
Looking forward to your guidance.

@praneethkumar82112bd02a8 Have you ever updated BIOS to the latest version? Which GPU driver are you using currently? Have you tried using different drivers to whether the problem is related to a specific version?
You should also use HWinfo64 to collect the data while gaming, and check if the problem is related to the thermal or the power.

i have never tried toupdate bios i will try and msg later can you give me link ? i have collected data while pplaying and also attached previous post
