Suprim X 3090 unbelievable 450W @ 850mV and 1850MHz?! Why?

Hello, I just installed a MSI Suprim X 3090. Using Afterburner I downclocked it to 850mV and 1850 MHz (which should be the sweet spot, right?).

Running Furmark hits a scary 450W. How is it possible @ 850mV?

Can you confirm this value? Does it make sense? Heaven benchmark stays at about 350W with same settings.

See attached image.

Under voltage will not reduce the total power draw, all it will do is give you a higher clock speed and better FPS per watt

My 5090 will hit almost 700 watts with an undervolt, and the Core Clock will hit over 3000MHz. Without the under volt, it will hit about 2600Mhz and 660 Watts total

But people are reporting that they can run 3090 at 850 mV 1850MHz with a power drain of about 350W... I'm wondering why I'm hitting 450W with those settings...

If I limit the power drain, my max clock decreases.

Different applications are putting a different load on the GPU, so a different power draw is expected.
Furmark is one of the most power draw pulling application.

When you do undervolt you compare and tweak the results before and after based on the one and the same application.
Don't compare the power draw between a different apps.

Ok thanks for the info.

I tweaked a bit the settings of Furmark and I concluded that is parameter-dependent e.g. activating AA x8 brings the FPS down to about 50fps and power consumption down to 280W.
