Hi Svet's, I have a GTX 690 video card, and (for almost 2 years) the card doesn't scale to fullscreen when my system post. Also, when I enter the bios it looks like a center square with black borders at the sides, I know that this doesn't happen to me only, but all the 600 and older series users when pairing with a DVI/HDMI/Display port monitor. This has been a headache for long time, the only fix that I encountered is to update my card to the latest UEFI vbios and dissable CSM in bios. Doing that makes the video card scale correctly at post, but the downside is that you can't boot your other devices at post, even the bios when the system boots it goes directly to start the OS so fast that you don't have time to press the Del button, or start another OS in DOS. You're a fermi/kepler programing expert, and I remember a tool for fermi cards that fixes this scaling problem called Nibitor, in the "more boot options" you have to mark two "Force adapter scaling", and "Non-native panel control". That fixes this issue for fermi adapters, but this tool is discontinued and doesn't support kepler adapters. If you could add those options in the Vbios EC turner for kepler adapters, (so I don't have to dissable the CSM and enter in UEFI mode). I'd be very grateful to donate and help you in your project development.

Thanks in advance!!

EDIT Svet: Hello, i may take a look about this. Check PM for queries.

Hi,

I Have a GE72 6QD APACHE PRO 003
and when im running mainly steam games I.E FOREST is the worst my GPU temp creeps up to around 70.c and some time over
and my GPU seems to throttle and crash the game ive read up on a few forums and this seems to be pretty common
does your software allow me to increase the throttle temp of my GPU?
im abit of a noob so not 100% sure is this is even possible can you help please?

EDIT Svet: Nope, the tool can't help with this.
If your notebook is crashing, best send it back to reseller or MSI for repair.
Or open own topic in notebook section for troubleshooting.

Hi Svet,
I have MSI GS60-6QE16H11. The CPU fan is constantly pretty loud and I'd like to control it. Will it work with your VBios? Can you send it to me? How do I donate?
Thank you!

EDIT Svet: Nope, vbios can't control the FAN.
You can use the tool to modify and change the FAN behavior for CPU/GPU,
all details are in the 1st post.
Check PM if needs.

I can't copy row to row in EC BIOS Editor. If I put ae or another two letters, I get message "wrong parameter". Why?

EDIT Svet:  If you use it over Skylake based one, its normal.
Due limitation only one value there can be changed at the time.

There is somthing strange with FAN table. This is original Table

With this table as you can see CPU FAN always on" at speed around 3200 RPM. I've tried different modifications. Here is the last two of them

But at temperature till 55?C FANs always of (with this or other modded table) and than at 55?C they are starting. And with hysteresis 10?C at 45?C they are switching off. With different tables algorithm is even. Somthing wrong here, but I don't understand what.

EDIT Svet: If you need assistance, check PM for queries.

Hello Svet!

I got myself recently a GE62 Apache Pro. I had to update it's old EC fw to the latest version. After the update though, As i've learned the new FW also made changes too the so called fan table. EC reset didn't fix it so my only option was to use your tool to modify the EC's fan table. The problem is there are tables 3x for cpu and gpu, which was a bit confusing. So I had to ask what each of these 3 tables represent escpecially for the CPU fan. My plan is to lower the threshold point to what temp the fan should kick in, right now it's going constantly at the lowest rpm.

EDIT Svet: Hello
see here about multiple rows: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=148273.msg1443679#msg1443679

One cuestion : Is this model compatible with your tool? I only want to tune up the fan noise, dont intend to do any OC.

If so please confirm,i will donate gladly.

Best regards.

EDIT Svet: Yes, model is supported for tweaking temp/fan curve for CPU/GPU.

And yeah its too loud to run at idle. So please send me the tool as son as you can. Anothcer cuesti?n: is it normal that my left fan on idle to be at 0 RPM?

I havent installed any game yet so i dont know if the left one is the one that kicks in when the dedigated gpu is under load so...im just asking. Anyway thanks again and ill keep this pc only if i manage to make it a Little quieter with your tool.

Best regards.

EDIT Svet: Has been sent to you

Hi, does your tuner work with non-MSI cards?

Specifically, Zotac 560 Ti AMP. I unlocked fan speed with another software, but fan needs to be controlled with software, fan curve is probably not correct in new BIOS and I can't correct it.

EDIT Svet:  The tool don't have a FAN curve control ability for this old class card.

Svet,

I noticed that my BIOS tuner is on version 3.07b still and not the newest one. Is there a reason why it hasn't updated for me? Do I need to do something to get it to update?

Thank you sir!

EDIT Svet: You have to run the included updater to check(and perform update) for updates.
Check PM for details if needs.

Hi Svet.
Hi Everybody
I know there is a lot of post about this laptop but i cannot loud nothing under Vbios Tuner. I did Vbios backup with GPU-Z. But after using your tools saying is not supported or cannot loud or invalid EC firmware.
I want reduce idle fan noise.
The machine is GS60 6QE Ghost Pro
Thanks for yours help.

EDIT Svet:  HI Viktor,
You have to load your EC firmware for your notebook in the tool [not the vbios]
and then to use the EC firmware editor to customize it.
Check PM for details if needs.

EDIT2:
@myfatherwillhearaboutthis
Your post is splited since has no connection with the tool,
i've answer you in PM instead.

Hi Svet,

I have the same issue reported above by robin.thomass.

In my case, I changed all cpu rows.

What are the correct values?

Thanks!

Gabriel.

EDIT Svet: Hi Gabriel,
This issue can happens if you try to set a value that's outside of the hardware specs of the FAN(s).
Depends of your unit they are different FANs used
[typically for GS/GE series, the min acceptable FANs % [by the fan itself]
is around 44-48%, exclude fan off which is also an option,
setting min % below this would be FAN's outside specs, and the FAN will start doing a loop issues,
repeating endless /FAN off, high rpm/ in pattern loop.
But there are different methods to make the FAN more quite and also different possible custom combinations.

For GTxx series, the FAN's used there can run with lowest fan %, 20% [or some lower] ]
If you need help setup your customized FAN(s), temp(s) curve, check PM.

EDIT2 Svet:
@r.gapke
your post has been splited and moved to the proper area

Hello Svet

I have MSI GS60 6QE with noisy fans

It's impossible to set it for about 1500 or 2000. Only 2900 or 0 - nothing beetwen.
Can Your software do it - Set CPU fan speed to 1500 or 2000 rpm ? (or any other value beetween 0 - 2900) ?

Thanks
