Nope, because the FANs used in this notebook do not support such low voltage,
and setting such value, the FANs will not works correctly because it will be outside their hardware specs.
this for for GS/GE models
else we can set desired speed %, but if the fan can't take it it will not works correctly.
for GT models they can do a lower fan rpm

Thanks for reply

Is it any other solution to set this laptop quieter - i don't do it anything special, only web browsing but the fans working noisy with 2900rpm.

EDIT Svet: The option between FAN off and 2900rpm don't exist for this model.
Else with the tool we can adjust many parameters and its possible to set it with fan off while you are doing web browsing only.
Check PM for details if you have interest in this.

is there any hardware solution for set rpm between 0-3000 ?
for example change the fan or somthing else ?

can i control the graphic fan too ?
and is it has the same problem ?
if we can set it to rpm between 0-3000 then we can turn off cpu fan and laptop remain cool!

Hi Svet,

I have a UK model GP62 6QF (gtx960)
Would your software enable me to switch off the cpu fan when its idling? Its constantly running at 3000rpm.
I installed dragon center (not the dragon gaming center) which initially worked ok, but the software has since stopped working, probably due to an incompatibility with a newer version of visual studio..so I have had to revert to the official dragon gaming center that does not support fan adjustment.

It would be nice to just be able to switch off or lower the rpm of the cpu fan when using the computer for light tasks..

Many thanks for your help,
DW

Maybe, but i don't for such.

if the unit has 2 FANs, then both will have the same behavior.

yes fan off is an option

Yes, you will able to do this.

We can set desire values, but min/max FAN speed depends of the hardware parameters
For GE/GP/GS Series min possible varies from approx 2800-3000RPM
For GT series they can run with lower 1xxxRPM
Fan off is an option in all cases.

EDIT Svet: Should be fine, those are idle temps.

Hello. I come today to ask for help about an OC GTX 780m. A friend advised me to come to you on this. I struggle to turn Rise of the Raider even low. So I thought that OC would do.

(I'm sorry for my crappy English but I use Google translation).

Hi
I've donated - and waiting for app :)

It's working on 970m? (GS40 6QE)
What's optimal voltage?
Has anybody try on 970m?

EDIT Svet:
The 970M series are not supported by the tool for vbios modification

(all supported GPUs are listed in the 1st topic)
But for NB model, the discrette GPU can be adjusted for temp/fan curve purpose only.

If need check PM for more info.

and waiting for app
since app. hasn't been sent yet,
check PM how do you wish to proceed further.

hello svet,

i have msi cx62 6qd (MS-16J6). my problem is about the fan speed. it never goes under 3200 rpm. i tried silent option and dragon center to reduce fan speed but i couldn't lower it. made some research and now im thinking it can be about firmware limitations (bios version E16J6IMS.107, EC version 16J6EMS1.106). i've checked your support list for editing firmware and i saw my laptop is supported. but i want to be sure if im going to make a donation. i want to reduce fan speed about 2000 rpm. can i do that whit your tool?

EDIT Svet: Hello

Nope, its a hardware limitation,  FAN to work at 2k RPM for this NB model can't be done.
such low speed its outside of the FANs spec of this model.

i want to reduce fan speed about 2000 rpm. can i do that whit your tool?
it can set such, but its not going work because of hardware limitation

well im trying to find a solution but i dont think i will. there is another issue about the fan. rpm goin up and down between 3200 and 3287. it is even more distractive. can this tool stabilize it to 3200 rpm?

EDIT Svet: There is always some % fluctations +/-, but this is near 100,
need to check it eventually, there could be a different reasons for this,
check PM if you want to take a look to give a 100% sure answer about this.
