given msi has new boards with 32mb i am loath to spend the pesos on it

a new bios chip is not expensive and its not hard to flash with the MAX bios code either, only an 8-pin chip so not hard to replace

anybody try this yet?

I was thinking about this too for my B450 mortar. Should work, the board is the exact same and even if does not work, one can resolder the old eeprom back. Let me know if you have already tried this.

OK so you do that and then what BIOS do you use. As you will need on that will work correctly with that board model.
