Hi,

i recently bought the "MSI Sword 15 A15UD" and it has a USB-Type C Gen 3.2 port too. But unfortunately it has only one HDMI out port, is it possible for dual monitor setup with this laptop by any mean. I have went through google and stuff but couldnt find much information on the relevant topic. Looking forward.

Hello! My friend bought MSI Sword 15 A12UE-487X. Like you, he is having the same issue. It seems fairly common to hook up two displays. Did you ever find out your answer? If not, can someone please help answer with the one HDMI out port how it is possibly to set up dual monitors? Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

I have the same system Sword 15 a15UD and the HDMI port works great to support my single 39" wide screen format except sleep mode. I have to pull the power plug on the monitor to get it to come back. I have also looked at using the Thunderbolt 3 / USB C 3.2 Gen1 port for the external monitor as the documentation I read stated the only way to make sure you leverage the RTX graphics card was to run via USB C. I have a USB C to Displayport 8K cable and it dings on Win 11 when I connect but my monitor does not recognize any connection nor does the laptop. Can't find any adding or errors in Device Manager or Event Logs. I have a USB C to Dual Port HDMI that worked great off my work laptop (Lenovo) and drove my Large Monitor and a smaller external monitor no problems and never had 1 problem with the monitor in sleep mode. It was a junker of a Laptop compared to my "Beast" MSI. But it also does "Nothing" when I connect it to my MSI. The USB to HDMI even works off my iPad Pro 4th Gen so no clue why my MSI won't support either cable. At a loss and my warranty was up in September. Any thoughts? I flashed to latest BIOS and all drivers are updated including NVidia. Thanks

Good evening!
I would also like to know more information about whether it is possible to work video over USB on the Sword 15 A11UD.
Grateful

Hey there! I'm having the same issue described by @to161a02f7. When laptop display turns off, I need to unplug HDMI or power cord from external monitor for it to come back, or switch projection settings back and forth.
