Hi! I'm using MSI 970 Gaming motherboard, I would like to know how can I control system fan speed to auto via BIOS. Currently I'm running 4 cooler master stickle flo x fan and all of them connected to motherboard connector and it's looks like they are running at 100% RPM so I would like to control them automatically.

Hi,

What are the fan headers: 3 or 4 pin? Because for 3 pin you can't control them on CPUFan headers, but also not automatically. 4 pin can be controlled both SYSFan and CPUFan headers, and yet can be automatically controlled by software (within BIOS you can only set minimum and maxium % each fan header can reach) within OS.

yup!! All system fans are 3pin and they are connected to on board 3/4pin connector, check the image it's from motherboard manual and 2 of my fans are connected to them using pin 1,2,3. As pin 2 is for speed control so are they available for the action? If not, then how about a fan controller?

On the right section of BIOS - HARDWARE MONITOR

switch to the system fan tag, and check the smart fan function.
