I recently bought the MSI Optix G27c and love the monitor ...so far. The only issue I'm experiencing is when I wake the monitor (not from sleep, just from it turning off), I get a constant error: "The system has detected a link failure and cannot set the requested resolution and refresh rate on your DisplayPort display...".

This is extremely worrying for me as it makes me think that my monitor is about to die. It only happens when I wake the monitor and I don't notice my refresh rate or Freesync being turned off, but any errors like this has me worried.  I bought another high quality DisplayPort cable that I thought might fix it but that didn't solve the problem. Please let me know if there are any solutions.

Build: i5-4690k, R9 Fury Nitro, 16GB RAM, Win10 (latest updates installed)

P.S. YESSSS I have the latest graphics card driver and have tried reinstalling it multiple times...so please do not ask this question.

Hi Derik,

This error messages only happens on 144Hz and shows into AMD Radeon (C.C.C), it might be related driver or ui issues without any effect.
Maybe the new driver will fix it, so far you can try to use HDMI cable or DP cable, using 120Hz reflesh rate or find older AMD graphic driver to check. Also there is a similar one I find from AMD forum as below link for reference.   https://community.amd.com/thread/213760

You must not have read my post as I said I already have the latest driver and have tried reinstalling it multiple times already.
I don't want to set it at 120Hz because I bought it for 144Hz w/ Freesync.
Your link just says to reinstall Windows which I might try down the road if it doesn't go away.

Since the latest Fall update, the error message doesn't appear as often, but I still see it occasionally when waking the monitor.

Still waiting for a solution.
