Hi,

Does anyone use the TBS-6982 DVB S2 TV tuner on the MSU board with the Z490 chipset?

My configuration is:

Motherboard: MSI Z490-A PRO
cpu: INTEL CM8070104282327 Core i7-10700 2900 - Socket
memory: G.SKILL DDR4 RIPJAWSV 4x16GB 3200MHz CL16 XMP2
drive: Samsung SSD 500GB PRO SATA
bios: 7C75v2E

Unfortunately, in my case, after several days of trials and fights, the card could not be started on this board. The card is simply not detected. I've tried various settings in the BIOS with no success. On other computers with other boards, there is no such problem.

Does anyone have a TBS tuner that works properly on this Z490 chipset?

After reading a few threads, it seems to me that boards with this chipset simply do not support pci-e 1.0a. And that seems to be a problem.

All PCIe slots aren't detecting?
Did you install the TV card's driver?

Slots are detected correctly. The card isn't though. In Bios, all settings for PCI ports are tested - such as setting support for GEN-1 to GEN3, etc., all possible combinations in turn. It took two days but I know it's not the fault of the BIOS settings.

Yesterday I solved the problem by buying a Gigabyte motherboard, the card was detected right away. I set the PCI oblusge to GEN1 in Bios and the card is detected.

So it's clearly a problem with the MSI Z490-A PRO motherboard(s). A little bad...
