MSI R6990-4PD4GD5 - the fastest and latest video card that AMD has to offer. Dual Cayman GPU, dual Bios capability (extreme & performance) , astonishing 3072 shader processors, 5.28 Billion Transistors and capable of handling up to 5 displays.
Moving forward, below are the basic specs of the card:
Core/Memory
?830MHz Core
?4GB GDDR5 5000MHz Memory
?256-bit x2
Video Output Function
?Mini DisplayPort x 4
?Dual-link DVI x 1
Some stuffs bundled with the card
?2x Crossfire Cables
?Mini Display Port to Display Port
?2x 6Pin to 8Pin power connectors
?Active mini display port to DVI port
?Mini display port to DVI port
?Manual and Software DVD
Below is my test system configuration
?Processor: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.4ghz
?Memory: GSkill Perfect Storm 2x2GB DDR3 2133MHz
?Motherboard: MSI P67A-GD65
?PSU: Antec TPQ-1000W
?Harddisk: WD Green 500GB SATA Drive
?Softwares: Win 7 64Bit, Futuremark 3dmark06, Vantage, 3dmark11 with latest patch
As always, first test @ all stock settings.
3dMark06.
Vantage
3dMark11
600k was overclocked to 5.1GHZ/5.2GHZ HT ON.
3dMark06. AS you can see from the previous score it was around 2XXXX only but now 37XXX. GPU is still @ stock speed. I also noticed that once I overclock the R6990, I get lower scores. Means that the card is really a beast that my 2600K was not enough to handle the power even at 5.1/5.2ghz .
Vantage
3dMark11
That's it. More hardware test to come
