I know that I am in a retro mode but I?d like to start my reviews with the classic racing favorite: Burnout Paradise!
I?ve installed this magnificent game on my MSI GE62-2QF Apache Pro. Back when it was released (in 2008-2009, I used to dream of playing this game with the highest settings. As of today, I am able to achieve it!
As far as I remember this game was one of the few games in those days which brought change to an open world. Criterion and EA mastered this to perfection with its latest addition of bikes to the Burnout clan.
There are over 70 cars in the game and they are categorized as Stunt, Speed or Aggression. The Aggression vehicles are heavy and large. They are perfect for Road Rage. Maneuvering them gets a bit challenging though. The Cars with Stunt classification are designed to be good for jumps and drifting. They help you achieve the mini-events in the wide open world (Paradise City J ) Some of the Stunt cars do resemble the rides that you'll find in past Burnout games. Speed cars specialize in excessive boosting as they allow you to chain together Burnouts to keep your boost going forever, but they have a downside in that you can only start a boost when your meter is full. You?d definitely enjoy playing with the bikes as well. There are not many bikes though; about 4 of them. The best part of it is the rewards you get for completing event. There are times when the RJ states that there are cars driving around the Paradise City and you need to take those cars down to own it! There are many more fun things in this game.  If you are in for some classic action then do go for this game!
Coming back to what MSI did: The game has absolutely no lags. Playing on the matte finished FHD screen at 60fps is a joy. There are absolutely no reflections. The GE62-2QF Apache Pro is mostly cool during the gameplay and the fans are not making a lot of noise. I know that this game does not need a lot of resources but I played the same on my Lenovo Y50-70 4K and that heated up like crazy!
The minimum specifications of this game were:
CPU:      2.8 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent (For Vista 3.2 GHz Intel Pentium 4)
CPU Speed:         2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista)
RAM:     1.0 GB (1.5 GB for Vista)
OS:         Windows XP SP2/ Windows Vista/ Windows 7
Video Card:         DirectX 9.0c Compatible 3D accelerated 128 MB Video card with Pixel Shader 3.0 or equivalent (NVIDIA GeForce 6600+ / ATI Radeon X1300+)

What I am working with:
CPU:      Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4720HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
CPU Speed:         2.8 GHz
RAM:     12 GB
OS:         Windows 10
Video Card:         DirectX 12 Display: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600. Render: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M

I?ll soon be adding more games to my review list and I?ll try to include videos from the next time.

Greetings, very nice review. My only question for you is did you play this game with keyboard and mouse or with a controller? Ideally, I would love to play racing games with a steering wheel, but with the amount of desk room I have, I know that is neigh impossible :)

Thank you Fulaman. :)
I've used the laptop keyboard and mouse for playing this. Its not that comfortable but after some time you do get used to it.

Do you have a controller that might help gameplay?

Nope. The only time I use controllers is while playing on my PS4. On this NB, its always the keyboard and touchpad :)
