Thin GF63 12UC, why my laptop doesn't support Display port?

Yesterday, I bought a USB Type-C to DisplayPort cable and connected my monitor to my laptop. However, there is no signal on the monitor. What could be the problem? Both the cable and the monitor are brand new. My laptop is 5 months old.
 
Make sure you are using the Type C port on the right side of the laptop.
And the type C DP port is connected to the Nvidia GPU, make sure the GPU mode is setting at MSHybrid or Discrete graphics mode.
Check if there is any yellow bang under device manager as well.

What model of cable did you buy and what resolution can it support?
What model of monitor did you buy and what resolution can it support?
On your single USB-C port, did you clean it out with compressed air?
On your USB-C port if you insert a USB-C drive does it read and write alright?
