Thousands of MTConfig Errors

I recently bought an MSI Claw 8 and have updated all the drivers/firmware to the latest version, and while checking the event viewer, I noticed I have 6000+ events of the same error related to MTConfig "an attempt to configure the input mode of a multitouch device failed."

While there are no "functional" issues, the number of errors is concerning. Is there a way to fix this?

Screenshot attached for your reference.

The error is pointing to the touchscreen, maybe there are some touch errors while using.
If there are no functional issues, you don't need to worry about it.

the error seems to be common with AI+ claw models as other users are reporting to have a large amount errors in the event viewer
Even though there are no functional issues, this needs to be resolved as it makes it difficult to troubleshoot the other issues due to having the event viewer flooded with false events

Send the request to MSI directly, you cannot contact official MSI support on the forum.

I get the same on my A1M U7
No problems with touch or multi-touch

MSI support is asking me to take the device to a local distributor

This is a waste of time, How will a local distributor fix driver/firmware issues. It seems like they are just deflecting the responsibility to another party

Yeah I have the same issues reported, only difference is in my case it's more than 10 thousand errors. I am almost certain this issue is not isolated to our units, but a widespread problem. MSI needs to fix this with an driver/firmware update. Other than the report though, my unit seems to be working fine (well I have issues with audio crackling due to audio latency, and constantly reappearing trigger deadzones, but those are unrelated issues, and I am in discussion with MSI support team to hopefully solve them).

thanks for reporting this, mine crossed 10k as well, hopefully they get this fixed asap. Currently, my discussion with MSI support is leading to nowhere, unfortunately.

While doing diagnosis, I found out the culprit is the device "HID-compliant touch pad" (HID\VID_0DB0&PID_1901)

Disabling the device in the device manager stops the error

Even though the claw does not have a touch pad, I am guessing MSI included this device to have the BIOS initialize, since BIOS requires a mouse and keyboard
