How to re-install MSI Center?
1. MSI Center/Dragon Center Removal Tool

2. Follow steps below

b. Uninstall MSI Center SDK

c. Uninstall MSI Center

d. Make sure both MSI Center SDK & MSI Center is removed
e. Re-install MSI Center from scratch again
  • How to install Dragon Center/Creator Center if I have already installed MSI Center?
Why do you want to do that? But if you insist on making the “wrong decision”,
    • 1. Follow the steps above to uninstall MSI Center and MSI Center SDK.
    • 2. Search for MSI Dragon Center/MSI Creator Center in Microsoft Store to install Dragon Center/Creator Center.
    • 3. Waiting for the installation to complete.
  • Why does Dragon Center ask to uninstall MSI Center SDK before installing?

  • This is what you get for not liking MSI Center, but you can fix it by opening command prompt and type “reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MSI” and enter “yes” after.
    Note.
Make sure no MSI Center registry key left in the specific path

do you have MSI Center running when you see GPU 0% usage reading? and could you make sure that the GPU driver is installed?

Yes the registered parts are shown on the website.
And yes. MSI Center is running. As you can see on the screenshots, the card isn't showing any stats there either.
BTW: GPU-Z is working normally and also can show me the fan speed, which MSI also can't.

i found out that MSI Center just running in the background is not enough, i had to execute MSI Center to make msi companion give gpu usage reading

Update:
By deinstalling features from the function set it seems that the app is resetting something and the sensors start working. But after restarting the problems reappear.

Edit:
Even in this scenario the fan sensors are not working:

I don't have much issue running with MSI Center but Live update doesn't get update after installed manually that never got fixed make me sad.

I've already updated my Realtek USB Audio to 6.3.9600.2353. Unless those two are different drivers.
Even those are different drivers, I can't update this Realtek HD when I got this new comp for half year.
Also Intel Extreme Turning Utility is out of date too. I believe the newest is 7.13.1.5,because I've install it before and Live Update never got updated so I deleted it.

I have been using DC and MSI Center for over 5 years before on B450 Pro Carbon Wifi and now on X570 Pro Carbon Wifi. I do not ever remember MSI Center not having a bug/issue more than 10 days. We get updates over updates over updates. Yet still have issues after issues. I am extremely disappointed with MSI. Looks and feels premium, performs well but the software is utter garbage. I have a cheaper ASUS TUF mobo as well, software has absolutely ZERO issues and is only updated every 6 months or so, unlike every 2 weeks. This was not a cheap mobo when I bought it.

When I open a game, User Scenario changes to "Extreme Perf" but no changes to fan speed or CPU speed. I have to manually select a different user scenario (e.g. silent) and then re- select Extreme Perf for it to speed up the system. This was not an issue 2 months ago. Now it is.

MSI, you need to totally overhaul this garbage system.

GPU fans don't spin up if it's not hitting temperatures high enough to make them turn on. Mine are always on 0 until I start playing a game.

I know. I can see the fans running, so...
GPU-Z is working properly.
It's the old adage of, if it's working don't update. You can select auto update. or to not update at all. the newest MSI Centre seems to break everything on my system, so I rolled back to 2.0.27.0 and everything works as intended.

i too had GPU fan 0 RPM with the last MSI Center (2.0.27.0) but it's solved in 2.0.29.0. Maybe you can try if it solves your problem? https://download.msi.com/uti_exe/mb/MSI_Center_2.0.29.0.zip

After installing MSI Center Version 2.0.27.0 my case fans lights will no longer light up. I have to manually open MSI Center and then click the apply button to get the lights to turn on after a reboot.

Edit: I am installing 2.0.29.0 to see if that fixes the issue.

Edit Edit Edit: 2.0.29.0 did not fixed my issue.
