  • How to install Dragon Center/Creator Center if I have already installed MSI Center?
Why do you want to do that? But if you insist on making the “wrong decision”,
    • 1. Follow the steps above to uninstall MSI Center and MSI Center SDK.
    • 2. Search for MSI Dragon Center/MSI Creator Center in Microsoft Store to install Dragon Center/Creator Center.
    • 3. Waiting for the installation to complete.
  • Why does Dragon Center ask to uninstall MSI Center SDK before installing?

  • This is what you get for not liking MSI Center, but you can fix it by opening command prompt and type “reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MSI” and enter “yes” after.
    Note.
Make sure no MSI Center registry key left in the specific path

After installing MSI Center Version 2.0.27.0 my case fans lights will no longer light up. I have to manually open MSI Center and then click the apply button to get the lights to turn on after a reboot.

Edit: I am installing 2.0.29.0 to see if that fixes the issue.

Edit Edit: 2.0.29.0 fixed my issue.
good luck .. let us know how it goes
Well, it appears as though the issue is still present. I think when the computer goes into sleep mode and the rgb case fans turn off they do not wake up and you have to go into the MSI Center and apply the RGB settings again.

I installed Version 2.0.29.0 and I have confirmed that when the computer goes into sleep mode the RGB fan lights do not turn back on, and you have to go into MSI Center and apply the RGB settings again to turn on the lights.

What joke this thing is... In version 27, I was able to manually switch user scenario, now on 29 it is completely unresponsive. I am furious. MSI software groups is incompetent. I will sell this garbage asap and get a mobo from the best manufacturer.

I installed Version 2.0.29.0 and now MSI Centre only sees my graphics card, no Info from my MSI Tomahawk z790 DDR5 or fans & CPU.
Tried reinstalling after using CleanCentreMaster tool, updated bios followed by CMOS clear and reset, but it will only see GPU.

There's a log entry at the Event Viewer: "UserModePowerService" that is needlessly written with very high frequency . Seems it is intended to notify about a change in the Power scheme but it occurs even when the scheme hasn't changed. See picture below and in the Details section you can see that the "changed" scheme id is the same one that was already active (because in fact I haven't changed it at all), and that it happens almost every minute and even several times per minute, so it generates hundreds of pointless log entries per day. This has existed along many versions of MSI Center and still remains nowadays in 2.0.29.0. Please fix that and make it that it only writes when a real change of scheme occurs, as it should be.

Don't know what that GUID stands for, to figure out the power scheme GUID, type "powercfg /l" in command prompt and you know which power settings MSI Center is trying to apply. Google search shows the problem occurs with some laptop, what kinda MSI product do you have?

Confirm User Scenario in MSI Center not working! (in hidden/inactive mode)

MSI Center 2.0.30.0 is still broken half of the stuff doesn't work or gets downloaded and installed correctly gone back to MSI Center 2.0.24.0 as that is a stable version already raised this via web ticket still waiting for a reply.

Just bought an x670e Carbon Wifi and thought it important to confirm that although the MSI Center appears to install, it doesn't. It leaves no files anywhere that I can see, and I've tried installing it with every compatibility mode you can use in Win11. It simply will not install. I use Argus Monitor and have used it for a long time, but still I thought my new AM5 motherboard should come with some software. The MSI Display Kit works fine, but does almost nothing that I can't do elsewhere...;) Anyone know where I can snag a version that will install and run in Win11?

The last 4.5 years I spent with a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Master, which was very nice. But I was less than impressed with their AM5 offerings and liked what I saw at MSI better.

Just tried to update MSI Center to version 2.30.0 which went oke, but as soon as i started to update Mystic Light to, i believe 3.0.4.3 which should be the most recent version? During updating of Mystic light, PC entirely crashed and hard shutdown. Now i tried to uninstall Mystic light, it results in "Uninstallation failed".

Latest version still will not install. Win11 build 22635.2915. Extracts the files, says it's finished, but nothing has been written to the drive.

Edit: On a reboot after trying a more recent bios version for my mboard, .1B, suddenly MSI Center announced itself and tried to load! It got almost done and then locked up, just my luck...;) This motherboard has a hard time warm booting for some unfathomable reason, so I used Flashback to install the latest bios version, .1C, and upon the boot MIS Center actually ran properly in the systray, for the first time. Seems to be running OK, now. Have no idea why it failed to install before. But the utility is sort of disappointing, as it's so basic.

Note about Flashback--atm it is the only reliable way that I can flash a bios! When I used M-Flash from inside the bios, the flash got 1/3 of the way through and promptly announced its failure and locked up! Scared the crap out of me because I thought the bios was bricked--but that was not the case, I was delighted to discover. Flashback works correctly every time--but I haven't tried M-Flash since the failure (a new one on me!) I use the same Fat32 Thumb drive in the correct slot for M-Flash and Flashback, so go figure why M-Flash choked but Flashback runs perfectly.

Trying to figure out why the mboard isn't booting properly! If I get that problem solved--it's a nice motherboard, no doubt about it.
