  • How to install Dragon Center/Creator Center if I have already installed MSI Center?
Why do you want to do that? But if you insist on making the “wrong decision”,
    • 1. Follow the steps above to uninstall MSI Center and MSI Center SDK.
    • 2. Search for MSI Dragon Center/MSI Creator Center in Microsoft Store to install Dragon Center/Creator Center.
    • 3. Waiting for the installation to complete.
  • Why does Dragon Center ask to uninstall MSI Center SDK before installing?
    1620215129484.png
  • This is what you get for not liking MSI Center, but you can fix it by opening command prompt and type “reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\MSI” and enter “yes” after.
    Note.
Make sure no MSI Center registry key left in the specific path

Bug with Version 2.0.52.0 in Hardware Monitoring it's reporting resize Bar as disabled, when it's enabled. Also, with Coreliquid 3.0.078 and an MSI MEG CORELIQUID S280 if you use a .gif on the screen, MSI Hardware Monitoring loses all motherboard values and only reports GPU information.

Unfortunately all vendors software is câncer its something they afe proud of there is not one single pieace of this mind of software that works from any of them, just install it of you need something specific turn all the auto start craps off (services) start any way and forget about it

Also Msi also does not give changelog for anything

AI engine is a bit crazy with 2.0.53.0

I installed it a few days ago and enabled all features, including the MSI AI Engine. I turned AI engine on and I checked Light, Visual and Performance. A few days passed and everything was all right. I mostly installed the app to adjust fan curves from Windows. This morning I turn on my PC, log on to Windows and a few seconds after my desktop appears, everything turns green. I panicked. I thought hey, it can be a TV issue (I use an LG C4 as monitor), a video card issue (just got a 5090 and we all know the driver issues although I had none) or a hdmi cable issue. I checked the TV (it was fine). I checked settings in Nvidia driver (color, resolution, refresh, all good). I checked the cable and everything seemed fine. Then I said, heck, I need to do some work really fast so I open an excel file. Each time I opened an excel file there was a big bubble showing up with AI Engine and a few messages like Mystic Light steady, Scenario Performance and so on. SO I fire up MSI Center and I see there is a section called True Color. In there, it was set on EyeRest instead of Default. At 9 am in the morning just after starting the PC, MSI AI decided I need some eye rest all of a sudden and without letting me know what its plan is. Indeed, I also work on my PC and it's up 15-16 hours a day. But MSI AI changed the color scheme without any message or warning at 9 am in the morning.

Solution was to check default in True Color and uncheck the visual section from the MSI AI Engine feature, so just Light and Performance are now active.

But then I had the other issue where every time I would open an excel file, the big MSI AI bubble would show on the screen with the same messages. In the end, I unchecked the AI OSD from the AI engine settings (show the profile switching animation when AI engine initiates turned off). That fixed it but I have no idea what's doing right now in the background. I know I can uninstall it, but it's also a bit funny and I'm going to give it some time then enable it again. I'm curious to see what new things it picks up. I just thought to mention all these here in case someone finds their display green in the morning.

yeah, it's not launching with windows (and still it has services and tasks running automatically). I know I can uninstall parts I don't need but it was the first time I installed it and I wanted to see what all those components are doing. I checked for updates and there were none. Will check again today.

Version2.0.54.0
Release Date2025-05-21

Have they fixed the decade long problem of Mystic Light completely erasing all the RGB settings users spent time creating, and offer no option to backup/restore these settings?
MSI takes the cake for being that obtuse....

Just updated my MSI Center to 2.0.54
It's funny.
I don't have a choice of RGB lines anymore in the Mystic light. This is what I used to have
2024-02-06_14-57-44.png

And this is what it gives me now:

Funny thing - in the Profile 2 it gives all the lines as expected:

By the way, why are the RGB modes different in JARGB 2_1 and 2_2? 2_2 has more of them.

Hi,

I’m experiencing several issues with MSI Center on my system. The application does not recognize my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU—it only displays CPU and RAM temperatures. Additionally, Mystic Light isn’t working properly; it only detects my motherboard and doesn’t allow me to change RGB settings.

I attempted a reinstallation, but now I’m unable to reinstall MSI Center at all.

Here are my system specifications for reference:
  • Motherboard: MSI MAG Tomahawk X870
  • GPU: Gigabyte Gaming OC GeForce RTX 5080
  • CPU: AMD 9800X3D
  • RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000MHz
  • Case: Lian Li 217
  • PSU: Corsair RM1000x
  • Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
Anyone with similar issue?

Cheers
Mitch

B450 Tomahawk MAX, 5800X3D, Corsair Vengeance LPX non RGB RAM (this part is important), MSI Center 2.0.55.0, Mystic Light 3.0.21.4.

After upgrading MSI Center and Mystic Light today my RAM is showing up as "CORSAIRX86 RGB" in Mystic Light. This is obviously not the case. Broken again! (insert sigh here)
Yes, I've rebooted my PC. Yes, I used the uninstall tool and reinstalled everything again with the same results. Yes, and yes, and yes. Keep in mind I've had this motherboard since it was new. I am NOT new to MSI software being buggy.
It would be great if when MSI Center and Mystic Light updates it only updates required files that are necessary for a specific system. The B450 Tomahawk Max was released September 2019. Other than maybe BIOS updates do these apps really require updating for such an old platform? Leave well enough alone!
I usually install updates by downloading the MSI Center app directly from the support page for my motherboard. Unfortunately the Microsoft Store beat me to it even though I had disabled updates for it. It turned it back on without notifying me or asking for my permission. Frustrating!

Disable IPV6 in network settings

Thanks Alan that actually worked, having this garbage for so long this is the first time I had to disable TCP/IPv6 to get that crap working.
To that little ego-driven-wimp of admin who placed a ban on me, this is how you help people take a good look, and what you did, is just placed a BAN for me to buy or consider any future MSI hardware.
There are quite a few that I didn't register and are not on the list prior of 2015

I'm fed-up with toddler admin Smurfs and MSI support who is incapable to find a solution or fix the damn issues for good.

You need to behave dude and no one will even mention forum rules. You ignored warnings. So get yourself together and behave like an adult on a tech forum. Cheers.
PS: I don't have ipv6 so I couldn't test it 🙃
@DarkOmenX You may also want to edit your screenshot so it doesn't include your name
