Trident 3 case swap

Hey, first post and use of the forum do not sure if this has been asked before. Would it be possible/easier to move the internals from a Trident 3 to a full size case and upgrade the mother board and power supply in order to put a new graphics card in? Or is there a way to boost the stock Trident in order to get better VR performance? While playing DCS im noticing its really choppy/laggy in VR.

All are special on Trident 3 so cannot swap case.
Motherboard / CPU thermal module / power adapter are special and just for MSI Trident 3.

Thats what I suspected. Has anyone tried an external GPU on one of these?

Or if not a eGPU i noticed both vive and steam VR are open while using VR, should only one be open?
