Hi I just built a pc with AMD Ryzen 5 5600G(apu only, no gpu) with B550M PRO mb. I'm troubleshooting with this getting to boot on screen.
My mb was 5000 series ready, but after I built it it said "input not supported" on the monitor. So I thought I was supposed to update the bios, so I grabbed the 7C95v28 bios version and did a flash bios though the flash bios button. Everything seemed fine until I saw cpu debug light not going away even after flash bios light turned off. Weird thing on this stage was that I was able to turn off the system just by clicking the power button on the case (normally have to force quit by pressing on to the button for a few seconds).
I tried clearing CMOS by switching battery, shortening it, switching rams, which didn't seem to work. After updating the bios now it doesn't even say input not supported, it just has no signals with cpu debug light on.
If anyone has any idea of what's going on or able to help me, please help. Thank you.
P.S- I also contacted msi support and followed the steps they told me to do, but they told me to go talk to the mb retailer.

SPECS
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
MB: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI
RAM:Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600 c18 x2 , 3200 c16x2 (both are 16gb)
SSD:Crucial P1 500GB M.2
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
PSU: Corsair CX 650M

If none of this works you may have a dead bios
and may need to return the board under warranty
Sometimes the BIos flas just fails and is the end of it working again without specialty bios reprogram tools.

Some directions for you

FOR BIOS FLASHBACK

Following Directions are for windows based OS

Right Click on the Downloaded Bios Zip File, select properties if you see the message this file is blocked by windows tick the box to unblock and click OK.

When in windows File Explorer make sure that you select the View tab and Tick the box Show Hidden Files and File Name Extensions.

Extract the BIOS file from the Downloaded ZIP file Open the folder it was extracted to.

Right click on the BIOS file, select copy and then paste it into a USB drive Formatted to FAT32,

When in Windows File Explorer make sure that you select the View Tab and Tick the box Show Hidden Files and File Name Extension.

Now rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM

There should be no other files or folders on the USB drive, just the BIOS file you have renamed to MSI.ROM

FlashBack can be used on a fully assembled PC even if CPU is one of the new 5xxx series.

PC must be turned off for BIOS Flashback to be started do not turn on your PC the Bios Flashback will do it for you

Plug the USB Drive in to the USB port just below the Bios Button,

Do not touch any Jumpers on the Motherboard

Push the FlashBack button and then release it,

About 5 seconds later a led just above the USB port will start to flash, after 15 seconds of so the speed of the flashing light will double this is the writing to the BIOS period.

Once done writing to the it will stop flashing and PSU will turn off

For 16MB BIOS it will take about 4 to 5 minutes, and flashing stops.

For 32MB BIOS it will take 6 to 7 minutes, and flashing stops.

People have said that it may turn back on if so just turn off and unplug the PSU.

And Bios should be flashed.

5600G requires at least BIOS 7C95v28 on the B550M PRO-VDH WIFI, and i somehow doubt it's on there by default, which the EZ Debug LED "CPU" would usually also suggest when you insert a possibly unsupported CPU. Was the "5000-series ready" advertised on the packaging or where?

Anyway, yes, make sure that you actually update the BIOS successfully. The Flash BIOS Button function is notorious for being a bit difficult sometimes.

Get the newest BIOS here by clicking on "BIOS" and downloading the topmost one (yes, the beta): https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B550M-PRO-VDH-WIFI/support#support-main-block-download

Updating BIOS with Flash BIOS Button
1. Please download the latest BIOS file that matches your motherboard model from the MSI® website.
2. Rename the BIOS file to MSI.ROM, and save it to the root of your USB flash drive.
3. Connect the power supply to CPU_PWR1 and ATX_PWR1. (No need to install CPU and memory.)
4. Plug the USB flash drive that contains the MSI.ROM file into the Flash BIOS Port on the rear I/O panel.
5. Press the Flash BIOS Button to flash BIOS, and the LED starts flashing.
6. The LED will be turned off when the process is completed.

The board can be quite picky about which USB sticks it accepts, so try several. FAT32 formatting is a must.
You can format the USB stick as FAT32 non-bootable with the help of https://rufus.ie/en/ (i would use this tool, it has more of chance of working than letting Windows format it).

I've just had a similar problem, my issue was when installing Adrenaline drivers(both MSI and AMD versions) and the screen loses signal and monitor goes to sleep.
Turns out its defaulting to VGA even if you only have HDMI connected.
I had to connect both VGA and HDMI and then in Windows go to Display settings and set to Mirror and set display 2 as Main display.

...Just to clarify, I'm using same MB and cpu and the issue happened after I updated bios to latest Win11 beta version.
And, through many hours of trouble shooting I did system restore, Reset Windows and Reinstalled and installed Win11 and Win10.
Each time the fault occurred at the point where Adrenaline drivers installed.

Out of Interest from AMD directly or the Windows Drivers and Windows store version for AMD ❓❔❓❔

Thank you so much for kind directions. I tired updating with different usbs (2gb, 16gb) and it just had the bios light on and didn't do anything. So I tried doing the flash update with the usb that I made previously which worked but had the same issue (cpu light not turning off and desktop powering off instantly as soon as I pushdown on the power button on the case). So I tried remaking the usb and now it's having the same problems as the rest of the usbs

Thank you so much for great information. I know that from the box because it has a sticker on the box saying AMD RYZEN 5000 DESKTOP READY. As I responded to Alan, I'm having trouble even updating bios.

Hey, thank you for information. I do remember chaning it from vga to hdmi only, and after that getting no signal at all.
But I was seeing some problems it booting anything on the screen because it had the cpu debug light on.

Remove memory and boot see if it gets past CPU and stops on the RAM light may be a ram problem but if it stays on CPU then may be bad CPU or a bad Board..

If it gets past CPU turn off PSU and insert one memory module in slot two if it stops on CPU again swap with the other stick of memory and try again. If that doesn't work try Memory slot one instead. Turn of PSU before removing or adding memory
Could have a bad memory stick so if only stops on CPU with memory installed good chance it faulty memory.

No it doesn't pass the cpu light.. Also I can't force quit by holding on to the power button on case, have to directly power off by turning the psu off
Sounds like the board or CPU may be toast I would be returning to seller for a exchange. OR RMA depends where you live but Seller or retailer where you got it from should be quicker.

I just don't know what one is faulty without a test board or CPU

When you initially turned your completed PC on, meaning at this step:

My mb was 5000 series ready, but after I built it it said "input not supported" on the monitor.

Did you already have the CPU LED on then?

Do you have another PSU for testing, can you borrow one to connect on the fly (you don't have to install it in the case)? Not that i suspect the PSU having something to do with this necessarily, but it's one of the easier things you can test and strike off the list, compared to the other stuff that you would need to test now.

Hello everyone, I just bought a msi B550M PRO VDH WIFI motherboard and after mounting my computer (amd ryzen 5 5600G 16GB RAM 3200MHZ dualchannel ssd nvme m.2 of 500GB and an aerocool 600w power supply without graphics card) I decide to update the bios to be able to run my processor but during this update the BIOS flash light starts to flash directly and very quickly So until everything seems normal but as soon as the light simply remains on it does not turns off (test carried out for 25 minutes) then I decide to turn off the power button without turning off the socket. Then, I start this operation again but this time with the penultimate version and not the beta version. But nothing is going better than the previous time (I had left the key for 30 minutes). then thinking that maybe the update was already done, I decide to connect this computer to my monitor but nothing happens. It was just marked no signal detected. I would like some help from you please because I have no idea what to do.
Connect the computer using a VGA cable. If it works, connect HDMI at the same time, then adjust the display settings to the appropriate display.
