TV@Anywhere Plus conflict?

Hi, All

I have been using TV@Anywhere plus Version 2 for over twelve months with no problems. Recently I bought a USB Freeview Dongle complete with ArcSoft True Media software from a seller on TradeMe as our Analogue channels will be switched off soon, here in New Zealand. Unfortunately, when trying to access my Freeview Dongle I get the message: Device not available or in use by another application even though it appears in Device Manager. I temporarily uninstalled TV@Anywhere Plus and used RegSeeker to delete all of its Registry entries plus I also disabled the MSI Capture Device. However, I didn't remove the card from its slot. As the problem still persists, is there anything else I can do to stop this conflict besides removing the card altogether?  Failing that, is there any way I could make TV@Anywhere Plus recognise the Digital tuner in the USB Dongle?

Have you also disabled TV@+ in 'Device Manager'? If doing that doesn't help then I'm pretty sure you will need to remove the TV@+ card. I'm sure I remember from reading something a few years ago that you can not use two TV devices in the same machine.

I had disabled MSI 8624 Video Capture in Device Manager, but couldn't find anything else relating to TV@Anywhere Plus.

Uninstall the TV@nywhere Plus software, and physically remove the card from your system.

Does your new USB tuner work now?

Hi, Stu,

I did take the dongle and software around to a friend's place and we installed it on his PC and although he didn't have a TV aerial in his workshop, the unit did a scan looking for channels, so obviously the package is okay. I was going to remove the card only as a last resort, but I guess if I really want Freeview, I'll have to do just that. I've got about three years before our Analogue is switched off, though. MSI do make a dual tuner capture card, don't they?
