Hello,

Purchased TV Anywhere Plus card yesterday.

Installed card, installed drivers, card is seen in Device Manager in right section, everything looks ok.

Start "Viva TV", when trying to identify source as either "MSI Cable" or "MSI Antenna" or "MSI S-Video/composite" I get error in Viva TV that says "Init Fail".

Tried using cable direct to card as well as from S-Video using RCA connectors, same results.

Also, when running "Scan" function/wizard via Viva TV and last step always generates an error that causes program to fail and it needs to be shut down.

Using Windows 7 Ultimate.

Any advice?

Update, re-installed sound drivers and I have some progress.

Error message is gone, seems to function via S video or Antenna, but no picture, black screen all the time, I do however have audio ...

Have you installed the Windows 7 driver from here:

Check that thread for fixing the black screen issue.

Hi,

I have the same issue with the TV Anywhere Plus with Windows Server 2008.

First of all, i installed the software and driver from the CD. I don't know what's going on with "Viva TV", it keeps crashing when i am selecting an input source or scanning:

Start "Viva TV", when trying to identify source as either "MSI Cable" or "MSI Antenna" or "MSI S-Video/composite" I get error in Viva TV that says "Init Fail".

Tried using cable direct to card as well as from S-Video using RCA connectors, same results.

Also, when running "Scan" function/wizard via Viva TV and last step always generates an error that causes program to fail and it needs to be shut down.

I read lots of threads here to try to resolve it. I tried all the drivers, updates, patch available on msi's website from Win XP to Win 7. I still have the same issue. Also, i tried to install the newest TVR software and now i am having a "interface not supported" error.

Does anybody have an idea how to solve this?

Here's my system specs:

windows server 2008 R2 SP2
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86Ghz
ACPI x86-based PC
ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
High Definition Audio Device (x2)
msi TV @nywhere Plus

Thanks!
