Is it possible to get hold of some wdm drivers for a new tv@nywhere plus.  The disc and the downloaded drivers from msi only seem to have bda drivers.  Thanks for any help.

Not a problem per se, but I would like to use the card with an older program that does not work with BDA drivers.  It can only communicate with the card via WDM drivers.

So, does anybody know if you can use WDM drivers with the tv@nywhere plus, and if so, where to find them.  Would drivers for the tv@nywhere work?  I tend to think not, but you never know.
In case anyone is curious as to why I'm asking this...I have a four audio zone setup using the free version of XLobby.  XLobby natively uses multiple instances of Winamp to play the music in each zone.  Right now I can play CD's, internet radio, or songs ripped to the hard drive.  I want to be able to play FM radio.  Now, Winamp has a plugin called TV-plugin that will enable playing of FM radio from most cards with an FM tuner, the tv@anywhere being one of them.  However, the plugin only supports WDM, not BDA drivers.  I may have screwed up by getting the tv@nywhere plus instead of the tv@nywhere...just wasn't thinking I guess.  But I believe that I have read in these and other forums about people using WDM drivers with the tv@nywhere plus.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

The TV@nywhere Plus uses the Philips SAA7135 tuner. I'm pretty sure the older drivers MSI used to provide for this card were WDM only, these newer drivers look the same as those for MSI's newer hybrid analogue/digital TV cards, which presumably use the same Philips analog tuner, and allow the TV@nywhere Plus to work in Vista and Windows 7.

You can try asking MSI if they can send you the older WDM drivers for this card, or you may be able to use or modify some drivers for another TV card that uses the same Philips tuner.

Drivers for the older TV@nywhere and TV@nywhere Master won't work, as they use a Conexant CX tuner.

Hmm, I wonder what drivers are on my older TV@+ CD? Could it be possible they are WDM? If so I could send the drivers. Right now I'm busy with my new i3 build but how would I check the drivers for the TV@+?

I lost my TV@nywhere Plus CD a long time ago (and the card itself has disappeared from my box of 'computer bits' so I guess I chucked that out too ) but from memory, there'll either be a WDM folder contaning the driver INF files, or the filenames themselves will refer to SAA71xx.xxx as opposed to '3XHybrid' as they are now...

I'll pop the CD in and see what it shows. It may take a short while of digging to find since I haven't seen it for about a year or so.

If this is any indication it must be WDM.

Hey Henry, thanks for taking an interest.

Your post says "...installing MSI TV@Anywhere WDM Drivers".  It doesn't say the TV@Anywhere Plus.  Stu said these would not work since they have different tuners.  I think maybe I need to study more.
These drivers work on your Plus?

That is from one of the 'read me' files on the disc so from that I would assume from what it says it has WDM drivers. I'm in the middle of setting up my new i3 530/H55-GD65 rig and will be installing the TV@+ drivers a little later tonight. I'll let you know for sure if it's WDM after I'm done doing it. It's got to be WDM because I bought this card several years ago. Did you read my PM?

Thanks.  I've taken a look at several different versions, and all the ones I have been able to find are either BDA drivers or, if they are WDM drivers, they won't work on my plus.  So I'm very interested to see what version you have.

Sorry about the delay but I couldn't find the CD and I just found it in a CD drive I'm not using at this time. :bonk: Anyway it definitely says it's WDM drivers. See picture:

Success at last. ;D
I had been able to locate several versions of drivers, including what was supposed to be WDM for the TV@Anywhere PLUS.  But I had never been able to get them to work.  I had been UNinstalling the BDA drivers that came with the card prior to trying to install the WDM drivers that I had found, and it had never worked.  So finally I just left the BDA drivers installed and tried installing the WDM drivers on top, and voila, it worked.  Go figure. :bonk:
Thanks Stu and Henry for your help.
