TV@nywhere recording

I got a TV@nywhere card and installed in my computer two weeks ago. It worked well on watching TV but had a problem with recording. If i choose a profile with MPEG-1 format, such as NTSC VCD, then there is no audio in the recorded program. If I choose a profile with MPEG-2 format, it has audio but only 8 seconds. No matter how long have you recorded. Does anyone can help me to fix that?

Here is my computer system:

DELL dimension 4300s
CPU: P4, 1.6G
256K RAM
on-board sound card
Windows 2000

Thanks!

i'm thinking that it could be something having to do with your sound card drivers. i also use an onboard sound card and seem to be having problems with it (i can't record audio with MSI's software)

do you have the latest drivers? send MSI an e-mail with your info. perhaps, they'll have a fix. Also, are you using WinXP SP1? That's known to have issues too.

I installed the latest driver released on Sept. 25 and the problem is still there. I sent a email to MSI one week ago and no response. I am using Windows 2000 Professional with SP3.

Thank you for your suggestion. I will check my sound card.

hmm, i am wondering if it is the OS. I am still looking through this forum for someone with problems while using Microsoft ME. I have really no problems to complain about, and most people complaining are running something different for an OS (XP, 2000).

just a hunch.
