Did anyone install the win xp service pack on a system running the tv@nywhere card with windvr ????

I have done so and the windvr program had gone bannanas ! I reinstalled the newer version and managed to get the video signal but not the audio, although I have tried all the relevant settings. The remote control has stopped working as well since sp1 was installed ?

Is there any driver I need to install ??

Sure will appreciate any help ....

Gil, Where did you get this "newer version" that works under SP1. The software has never run for me on SP1.

I talked to a tech from a local store and he contaced MSI, the only thing they told him is 'They will look into a possible pronblem with SP1,' I had the same trouble (windvr would flash 000 and remote stopped working)

My MSI TV@nywhere shipped with Intervideo MSIPVS version 2 or something, but I still have those sp1 issues...

PowerVCR works better and the image seems to be much clearer. The interface works well; however, i keep getting an error when i try to record.

does anyone know if the remote works for any program other than MSI's?

I downloaded the windvr version 2 from the msi support site, but it did not solve the no sound + no remote control problems.

Where do I get the powerVcr program and does anyone know if it works ok with winXp ???

you can get power vcr here but it is only a trial version. in order to get power vcr to work you must use the beta drivers. you can get them here.

alot of people think power vcr's picture is better than the windvr picture but i don't agree. after adjusting both pictures i find that windvr's picture is a lot cleaner and the colors look alot better. when i get home from work tonight i'm going to try other programs with the beta drivers to see if they'll work. i need something that'll record in in avi instead of just mpeg.

Ok maybe I'm a crack baby but I can't find the winDVR 2 on the MSI site anywhere. Gil (or someone else) can you post the link to it?

Hi msroest !

Sorry, but they might have moved it or something. Give me your email and I will mail you the zip file.

By the way, I tried PowerVcr and the no audio problem was not fixed !!!!

Does anyone know if it is at all possible that the xp service pack instalation somehow fricked the tv@nywhere card itself ??? Because PowerVcr installed it's own drivers and it still did not solve the problem !!

don't use the drivers that PowerVCR uses. Install the beta drivers that Fam provided and then install PowerVCR. everything works fine. the only problem i have is that I cannot record over 320x288 for some reason...

Gil, I sent you an email with my email address into it. Once Gil sends me the winDVR update I will post a link to it (I'll host it on my server).
