?( Does anyone know if TV@nywhere supports digital cable (Beyond using the RCA input)? I have Rogers digital cable in Toronto, Ontario and wouldn't mind using it to record shows.

1 Good news & 1 bad news for U!
Bad news is U can't connect TV cable directly to ur TV@nywhere card for digital channels.
Good news is using S-VHS connection (from Roger D.C.B. S-VHS output to TV@nywhere S-VHS input) is almost as good as direct TV-Cable input
I used PowerVCR II 2.0 with unoffical TV@nywhere driver to record some TV programs in 640X480 Mpeg2 6400 bitrate, then convert them to Mpeg4 using Gordian Knot & DivX 5.0 pro codec. The output video image quality is better than using WinDVR's (bundled S/W) & clearly showoff the power of 10 bits video over the 8 bits' (BT8XX)

I got this driver from someone on a discussion forum. But don't ask me what kind of driver is it cause I know nothing about this driver.
For many ppl on that forum got the PVCR II 3.0 to work. I was told that U need to install this driver without previously installation of any TV@nywhere driver including the offical one in ur system. Also U need to update PVCR II 3.0 to the latest version (should be .1221).
But I have no success for getting PVCR 3.0 to work cause I've already got the official driver installed on the 1st place & I was too lazy to reinstall WIN.
By the way, I'm using WIN XP Pro. So it may not work on other OS !!
OK, I can e-mail the driver to anyone who want it, the file size is so small though.

I guess you are the same aykh in a Chinese forum, where I read your initial disappointment with tv@nywhere. Are you also 'i'm canadian' who commented on tv@nywhere at vcdhelp.com? Glad that your impression of tv@nywhere has improved after having a more suitable driver.

However, I have NOT YET purchased it, because I am undecided whether to get Flyvideo 3000 (9 bits A/D Phillips) or tv@nywhere (10 bits A/D Conexant). I read in that Chinese forum that you are very impressed with Flyvideo 3000 after seeing some of the sample video captured with Flyvideo 3000. Now my question is, as far as you can see, which one, Flyvideo 3000 or tv@nywhere (with the present better driver you have), has better image quality?

Yes, my impression of this card has improved (a lot) over time.
As stated earlier in the comment section, I've got an rather early conclusion that my initial disppointment of this card to due to the crappy Bundled software "WINDVR".
If U can get any decent capture S/W to work w/ it, it's going to mean 1 word : "QUALITY"
Ur 2nd question regarding flyvideo 3000 vs TV@nywhere is rather hard for me to answer!
It's not fair to favour either one at this stage cause the flyvideo sample video 's captured by hunuaacap+mjpeg & the best I can capture w/ TV@nywhere is by PowerVCR+MPEG2. As we all know video in MPEG2 is much more compressed than mjpeg's. And converting from Mpeg2 video to DivX 's gonna to largely degrade the image quality of it.
However, I'll try to make a TV@nywhere sample video to give U an idea so that U can decide by ur own eyes (w/ the driver & codec consideration).

It talks about the two newer generation capture card chipsets: Conexant CX23880/CX23881 used in tv@nywhere and Prolink Pixelview Xcapture, and Philips SAA713x used in Flyvideo 3000. I particularly take note of this comment "??Conexant?A/D????????Philips??,10bit????9bit??....?????8bit?878???????????.(?????)".
So the Japanese enthusiasts seem to think that
1) both chipsets are on the same par, and
2) noticably better than the older 8 bits BT878.
This concurs with some reviews/comments I have read (such as yours) on tv@nywhere, Pixelview Xcapture, and Flyvideo 3000, that they are noticably superior to older chips in image quality. Yes, there are glitches, driver issues and lack of third party support (so far), but for those who get them to work, the image quality of the captured footage make all the hassles worthwhile.
For only USD 40-60, these 3 cards offer good value for money. Who knows, as a video enthusiast I might even buy one product from each chipset.

PS: Notwithstanding my nick "captune" - "capture" + "tuning" - my main purpose of getting this card is to capture video footage via S-video, so I am not worried at all with any problems in TV tuning. I simply want excellent quality captured AVI at 720x576 (PAL). Other things are just bonus.
Do you mean you have no way to capture good quality AVI format by using PowerVCR? Gee, I very much want to avoid capturing in MPEG2 format because like you said it is lossy and contains digital artifacts, and will degrade with every step in editing/conversion.

Unfortunately WINDVR & PowerVCR ONLY support Mpeg1/2 capturing. And NO AVI capturing for TV*nywhere for the moment as far as I know. (but I'm not 100% sure about it)
I know PlayTV HD/X-Capture have AVI support. So either one may be a good alternative to TV@nywhere.

first thanks for the driver. i'll let you know how it works for me when i get my new card.
the way you stream is:
start watching tv then right click on the picture then you'll see an option for wm stream, then that'll bring out three options. (sorry i can't remember the names, i'm at work, plus i don't have the card at the moment.) then you'll click on one and it'll bring up a that has two profile buttons. you'll want to use the one on top and select the correct bitrate. then click start and give it a sec to buffer. then someone can connect using your ip and windows media player. have the person open media player, then file, then open url, then type in http://yourcomputersip:8080 then connect. sorry i can't describe it any clearer but i have no way of doing it until i get my new card.
