i have a question about the type-c in my laptop msi gf63 thin 9rcx, how can i benefit from it and what is it for ?

its 1x Type-C USB3.2 Gen1 its what used to be known as a USB 3.0 Type C Port so is wired like any other USB 3.0 port on your Device but in a Dual Direction Layout so the connector can be flipped either way and is for Devices that use the USB 3.0 Protocol and is for use with stuff like Flashdrives and USB Hubs that use a USB C port

Hi I purchased my GF63 9SC Thin laptop -i7 9th GEN, GTX 1650 MAX, 60hz refresh rate , FULL HD Resolution.
I want to connect my laptop to a external monitor which has 2k resolution and 165 refresh rate which works on display port.
So can i use my type c port available in my laptop to display a monitor with 2k resolution and 165 refresh rate using 'type c to displayport' cable ? .
If not can i use the hdmi to displayport cable ?
