UDMA & CD-RW

A Peoples,

Don't really have a problem, more of a question.

Most of my HDD's are running at UDMA 5 or 6 , but I notice I only have 2 on the CD-RW (48x12x40 Dragon writer). Is this the best it can do

P.S. both the IDE cables are 80, the writer is primary on the secondary IDE and an ATA 100 hotswap drive with a 20gig segate (ATA100) is secondary).

ACI,

Having an ATA-100 Drive on the same ribbon as your CD-RW, you are limiting the performance of your Hard Drive to ATA-33. Just as long as you do not need that drive running at ATA-100 for system performace you are fine.
