I have a MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS motherboard. I'm using it as my gaming pc / mining. When I set pcie gen in bios, I have 1,2,3, auto options. Well I'm trying to set to gen 1, to try and solve crashing issue while mining. But whatever I would select, it would stay at gen 3. My main gpu will change, but not my secondary. Tried all slots. Any suggestions? I'm using gpuz to see what gen it is running while on windows.

You also need to set the Chipset PCI to Gen 1

Bios version is E7C75IMS.A60, this is the latest update that would not brick my motherboard, heard everyone updates after this gets brick, so I wouldn't try updating it. I'm running on a i7-10700KF. Let me know if you need more details.

Apparently it is a limitation of that board as it is only able to change PCIE lanes speed from CPU only.
