So I recently bought a MSI desktop and it came with the CLUTCH GM08 mouse. It has two side buttons. On every other mouse I have ever used these buttons by default perform as a Forward/Backward button. For example on a web page if I hit the side buttons I can go back a page ofr forward. When I hit the typical button for "back" it opens a file explorer. I can find nowhere to configure this correctly. Any help is appriciated as this is driving me mad as I keep hitting it out of habit to go BACK not to open the darned File Explorer!

Mine works like it should be. You can try to hold the Left, Mid, and Right mouse button and then plug the mouse in for about 5 seconds to reset your mouse.

Im having the same issue, I try to bind it for gaming and it kicks me out. i was troubleshooting it manually trying to find how to change it and it randomly fixed itself and then today when i was changing my DPI it went back to doing it and now i cant fix it again. But its like an internal process because it overwrites any 3rd party mouse software and dragon center doesn't have any options for binding the mouse either so idk what's causing it. i tried the mentioned "reset" and i may have just done it wrong but it didnt seem to do anything

Edit: opon further investigation it might be a driver issue of sorts and I managed to fix it by simply unplugging the mouse from the tower and plugging it back in again...

Experiencing this too. So I bought an MSI PC that came with this mouse. When I keybind it to do a melee attack it opens windows explorer. Really hope someone from MSi is looking for a resolution. Tried steps above to no avail. Thanks!

Have you tried to replug the mouse? Sometimes it can fix this kind of issue.
Which button btw? Do you install Dragon Center or MSI Center?

If you are wondering about mapping the buttons for pc gaming, I suggest going into the individual game options and mapping it that way. works for me anyway.

Mouse Clutch GM08 - the same problem: cannot map the side buttons. MSI Center does not provide this option, and Dragon Center not installing.

i don't recommend you install both MSI Center and Dragon Center on your system, they don't work well together

If I remember right, GM08 doesn't support button mapping in MSI Center/Dragon Center.

you can test your mouse from any online tool which will tell you about the performance of your mouse and its proficiency!!!
