I have no idea what's the reason. Tried re-installing Windows 8.1 and it still gives me an error when trying to install. I was on BIOS 1.5 and then updated to the latest BIOS and same problem. Anyone knows how to fix this please?

I suggest you upgrade Windows as much as possible (with windows update) as until it recognizes the [PCI Simple Communication Device] driver (that's the missing driver name).
Windows ME (PCI S.C.D.) for the mobo can't install because the installation fails for the lack of a windows subroutine installed with some windows update upgrade.

I had the very same problem on Win7 (both Prof. and Ultimate). Problem was solved with the complete installation of the SP1 (around 400mb of stuff to be downloaded in different times and reboots. You may feel you are forced windows to check out for upgrades because it could not do it, itself).

Hope it aids!  :welcome: :hat tip:

Thanks and I have updated Windows Update to the maximum (no more new updates) and I still can't install any of these drivers. The ME, chipset drivers won't work and I can't even use iTunes because it couldn't detect my iPhone/iPad. I can do everything perfectly fine on my other i3 PC running on an ASUS board.

Why is MSI giving so much of problems? :(

On the current Windows I'm using atm (win 7 pro in eng language) i didn't bother to fix the problem. The other windows (different boot) has it fixed..
in both cases i can connect stuff (no i dont have ipod etc but a video cam via usb, a cellphone and so on all works great) in both cases, with and without "pci simple communication stuff".

For me it's an easy step to boot out an OS, format and install everything from scratch..
If you can, try it :)

And boot windows 8 -.-  :giljotiini:

Just to make sure, do you have NET Framework installed?

What is your PC made of? (include any external devices like USB HDDs or USB hubs).

Did you try to clear CMOS?  :
