Device: MSI C931 EdgExpert-C594
OS: DGX OS
Network Environment: UniFi Dream Machine SE & US XG 6 PoE Switch
Location: Auckland, NZ

Fresh out of the box, I am stuck in the initial setup wizard. Even with a 10GbE RJ45 cable connected before boot and assigned IP on Port via DHCP, the installer fails to "Skip" the Wi-Fi selection screen. I choose (language/ region, accept terms, create user/ pw) but the next screen "Connect to Wi-Fi" fails to proceed to next step. When attempting to join any Wi-Fi network (including mobile hotspots), it returns "Unable to join. Fail to join the network. Please try again."

Despite the UI saying there is no connection, the backend is clearly online:
* I can successfully ping the unit (10.0.10.5) from my desktop with 3ms latency.
* The UniFi dashboard logs confirms a stable 10GbE Full Duplex link on Port 2 (VLAN 10).
* UniFi "Latest Flows" shows the device successfully reaching connectivity-check.ubuntu.com and dashboard.snapcraft.io via HTTPS.
* System clock/ date is verified correct. IPv4 is visible but shows "Configured: Disabled" in the UEFI Network Stack, while the OS has clearly grabbed a DHCP lease.

Attempting to drop to a TTY (Ctrl+Alt+F2) triggers an immediate system reboot.
Lastly i tried installing the latest OS release "Nvidia DGX OS GA2 OTA2".

Any support on how I should test this issue further?

+1
It is disappointing that such a trivial configuration is difficult to troubleshoot the way UX is implemented. I have tried all of the above steps as well + the new OS OTA2 mentioned "BIOS-level control to disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth" though I couldn't find this configuration!

alright! did some troubleshooting - since I am getting IP on the router/ AP; it is not a network issue. I tried AP, hotspot, wired - all connect well.

I did see some traffic spikes on activity, so I setup app block rule (category - web) in Unifi for this device MAC, and it was trying to reach connectivity-check.ubuntu.com. My guess is - if it fails to reach, it assumes "WIFI/ Internet not working". I tried manually the connectivity-check.ubuntu.com and got 204 No Content (didn't know if thats their intended behavior). Anyway for fun sake, I added a VPN client in the Unifi (use Nord etc.) and then routed all its traffic through different countries - US, Australia, Switzerland and it worked when I routed through Singapore. After every VPN change, I restarted and in the Singapore instance, on the setup WIFI Screen, I didn't select anything and after a minute it continued to next page of Updating...! I then removed the app-block rule from Unifi to not disturb any updates.

I am not 100% sure what worked (maybe since web category was blocked, it tried any failsafe option?) and hope something works for you.
Cheers

Thanks for all your detailed report.

I would like to share an update: after coordination with NVIDIA and validation in our testing today, the issue has been addressed.
The system is now able to successfully pass the OOBE stage, including both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity.
Recommend performing a fresh OS installation and verifying if the setup process completes normally on your side.

Regarding the EdgeXpert OOBE issue, Ubuntu has officially confirmed that it was caused by a temporary server-side anomaly related to the connectivity check service.
Please refer to the link below:

https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/temporary-performance-degradation-on-connectivity-check-service/78990

This issue could lead to failures in network detection or validation during the OOBE process. The service has now been restored, and the issue is resolved. Systems should be able to proceed with OOBE normally.
