Unauthorized data loss during a laptop hinge repair

I had an unbelievable experience with MSI Turkey's authorized service center, Servis Point. I took my laptop, which had a broken hinge, to the service center for hinge repair. After two weeks, I received the laptop with a repaired hinge and a new screen cover. However, I realized that both of the hard drives inside had been formatted, and all my data had been erased. I never requested this, nor was I informed that formatting would be done. They returned my laptop, which I took for hinge replacement, completely empty. This absurd situation has led to the potential loss of many designs and software projects that I spent valuable time on. When I asked a service representative why they did this, they defensively pointed to the clauses in the document I signed. Yes, the clause I signed mentioned that computers could be formatted, but how could I have known that all my data would be erased for a laptop I left for a "HINGE" replacement? I can't comprehend why they would erase the data on both the C and D drives without any reason or explanation.

I have some questions regarding this issue,

Why Service Point technicians didn't ask me before formatting entire harddrives?,
Why they also formatted D drive?
Do Service Point works with low qualified technicans?
How can i trust them again?
How can i recover my years of working datas on D drive?

While it may not make sense, you acknowledged the fact that the documentation states what to do. Whether it makes sense or not, doesn't really matter. For all we know, the procedures state to reinstall factory software to ensure that it functions properly.

That being said, you'll get zero answers to any questions here. As the user above me makes clear, for the most part, this is a user run forum. See : >>Please read and comply with the Forum Rules.<<

That being said, ultimately, the only person to blame is yourself.

For the most part, there's absolutely nothing anyone here can do at all to help you other than to say : see : >>How to contact MSI.<<

And that's where most users get an external drive and copy all their important data before sending a laptop in :)
If your only copy was on the laptop then it was a single point of failure anyway. I keep multiple backups in different places (cloud), and devices (another system, external drives, usb sticks) of my most most most important data.

Yep, for me(actually the wife) its family photos. I have them backed up on a HDD, cloud and an external HDD. Because you cant be too careful, and she knows where I sleep lol.
