Hello Everyone,
I was always an avid fan of MSI's Twin Frozr cooling solution, hence the reason why i always buy MSI cards.
Some manufacturers would prefer form over function just for eye candies but not MSI.
You'll get that performance and good looks at the same time. Enough of the chit-chat, without further ado let's start un-boxing.
First would be the picture of the box itself, from here on you would notice a bit of details that the product promises.
First and foremost the card runs of the newest iteration of their cooling solution or as they call it themselves thermal design,
the TwinFrzrV, has 4GB of GDDR5 Memory, runs and support PCI-E GEN 3.0 and is overclocked out of the box.
At the back we are welcomed with some images that would show the highlights of TF5.
Basically what GPU's should be made of to be called NEXT-GEN
Starting from the left is the Torx Fan which emphasizes on their brand new fan design,
The SuperSu Pipe which supposedly increases dissipation of heat all through out the heat pipes,
The Zero Frozr, the smart cooling system which allows zero fan operation on idle and low load operations,
and fires up the fans on a lightly manner above 60?C
Last but not the least is MSI's GAMING App which supports one-click overclocking, gaming mode and silent mode.
I would also like to point out that the card has Grade 4 Military Class Components and are tested for stability on harsh environments.
a few more box shots
by opening the MSI matte black box, we are welcomed by
- power adapter cable
- dvi to vga adapter
- quick start guide
- msi product brochure
- software cd which contains the Gaming APP, and the driver, but i would suggest to get it thru the internet so that you'd get the latest drivers
for the main event, i will just be attaching the following photos and will try to be quiet all thru out, cause i'm truly amazed by the looks of this card
on the contrary the card itself is making me speechless
The card untouched with the anti static bag, can you feel the awesomeness already?
removed the anti-static bag for showcase
the side which you won't get to see once you plug your card in your pci-e slot.
the side which you get to see the most, the card's pcb in all matte black glory!
Supports output for 1x HDMI, 1x Display Port, 1x DVI-I, 1x DVI
The Led side and those juicy Super SU heatpipes
glamour shots for the Torx Fan Design
By the way to those who wants their custom backplates, the PCB revision could be found here on this side
A final look on that sexy sexy matte black pcb
So there you have it folks, i hope you are stunned as much as it did to me, thank you for reading thru my unboxing!
