Everything on time
I decided to update my motherboard BIOS due to a potential incompatibility problem with one of my graphic card drivers
At the beginning all went well I launch the bios update the operation proceeds quietly my BIOS finishes to update and my PC restarts I wait a little that my PC restarts except that it does not restart after 2 min I decide to force the stop I restart the PC it remains stuck on the image of starting my PC
I decide to make a CMOS clear by making the CMOS clear my PC it displays me a screen or one sees the peripherals of my PC all are recognized. It also displays me the version of the BIOS it writes well that the version of the BIOS is that which I had just updated

It had a button by pressing F2 it said to continue by pressing this button nothing made the PC I did not respond (after 5 minutes of waiting)
Following that I force again the stop of the PC is it makes me the same bug as before it refreshes me the image MSI at the starting of my PC (during 3 min of waiting)
I redo another CMOS it refreshes the same screen and this time I press F1 to access the BIOS no response
So I don't know what to do, I shut down and unplug my PC
I open the box

How to get out of this loop?
I press the F1 key which must

Could be just a BIOS setting that is different now, and the board doesn't want to boot the OS like this.
What code is shown on the debug code display on the bottom right of the board?

Ok. So whatever you press, F1 or F2, it always stays on that screen and nothing changes?

There is a simple way to get it to boot again, change the position of this while the PC is off:

Then you're on the second BIOS. But it will be an old one. It would be better if we could somehow fix this new BIOS to work. But if the F1/F2 screen doesn't respond, that's a problem.

Yes indeed my PC gives no response whether I press F1 or F2.

So I should move this switch to the green position. Should I turn the alimentation back on? Once the second BIOS is working what should I do? Anyway, thank you for your help. I would do the BIOS change manipulation later because I'm going to sleep and it seems to me from what I see that the famous switch is found under one of my two graphics cards

If the second BIOS works, you can boot from it. And with a trick, you can then flash the other BIOS (the non-responding one) with a different version, for example the newest beta BIOS.

That would be done like this:

So you would download BIOS H.B to get the AFUDE561.EXE (i don't think you need the 238 version explicitly), then download the newest BIOS HH2 to get the BIOS update file itself.
Then proceed like above, command is AFUDE561.EXE E7885IMS.HH2

A yes I also have another question I have just downloaded the HB file so I have the famous AFUDE581.exe but also a BIOS file I must therefore remove the BIOS file and replace it with a more recent one?
That's right ?

Thanks you for your reply
But there is no debug code

Here is what my PC shows me after a clear CMOS
Please press F1 at this point (after clear CMOS) by following what the options are as the board boots, and the board will complete post and you should be in the default BIOS screen.

Yes, for this special flashing trick, switch it at that point, with the PC on. Just don't flip the switch when the PC is in the process of booting. Only when it has finished booting from the USB drive.

First you make a bootable USB drive/stick, for example with Rufus using the FreeDOS option. Then you copy the files AFUDE561.EXE and E7885IMS.HH2 into the root folder of it. Then you boot from it using the switch set to the old BIOS, flip the BIOS switch once it's booted, run the command AFUDE561.EXE E7885IMS.HH2, and reboot to see if it works now with the newest BIOS.

Please press F1 at this point (after clear CMOS)
I think that was the problem, it doesn't react when he presses F1 and F2. Otherwise we could have made it work.

I would like to know if everything is ok in my USB key. I used Rufus as you said
Here are the files present all is good?

As I said in the first message my key F1 or F2 do not respond

Pressing F1 no response except a message saying Entering Setup but nothing happens

You have to be able to boot from it. Then as long as AFUDE561.EXE and E7885IMS.HH2 are on there, you are able to flash the BIOS.

I managed to solve the problem nevertheless I am confronted with another problem less serious than the first one but one of my 2 graphics cards is no longer detected in the task manager on the other hand in the device manager if I have to activate a specific option in the BIOS?

What exactly did you do? Flash the BIOS to the latest one?

Ok. But it seems that we are going back to the beginning:

I decided to update my motherboard BIOS due to a potential incompatibility problem with one of my graphic card drivers
So this might perhaps not be just related to the BIOS now? Why do you have two graphics card, which ones are they?

I have 2 graphics cards because the PC dates from 2015 and at that time the SLI is still used
I have 2 GTX 980 TI

Yeah but SLI is dead now. NVIDIA don't like their own SLI tech anymore, they just like to sell single high-end cards nowadays, makes them more money.
I've posted about it here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?...-in-nvidia-control-panel.361920/#post-2053943

I would just sell the second card on eBay for example. Right now in this crazy graphics card market, you can get minimum 250 € for a used 980 Ti, and depending on the card model, up to over 400 €.
