FYI, for me this app only launches from the system try and right clicking... The created shortcut will not work.

I did already everything to make it work right clicking, left clicking, install, uninstall, reboot,  silent option cleaner.........still empty frame.

System Requirement:
1. MSI SCM application must be installed.
2. For Windows 7, please install .NET Framework 4.0.
For Windows 8/8.1, please install .NET Framework 4.0 or newer version.
    Currently Windows 10 not supported.
3. Require administrator privilege during the installation.
4. Only supports on some models.

Simple Introductions:
1. Download and extract the installer to your local disk, right-click setup.exe, and select "Run as administrator" to install.

I Have an MSI GE60 2PE APACHE PRO with Windows 8.1 x64, have all of the system requirements installed, did all the simple instructions, rebooted laptop.

Silent option has created a shortcut, but didn?t create the resident process in the System Tray.

I click on the silent option shortcut, nothing happens, the program doesn?t open. I went to programs and features and the program is there.

I did the process 3 times.

So, i did give up, waiting for a final version that works instead a beta.

Thank you.

msi tech i have 1 question, when u make updates do you even test them ? because it doesnt make sense you just put updates that dont work, gs70 here with windows 8 and still doesnt open, test them on all laptops before uploading updates.

This is what's happening now.....      Silent option doesnt work anymore we have to close the program. But i can wait because i am a beta tester(i think) ;)

I'm getting the same error!
(the same in Dutch  ;D)

Maybe it's an English "only" program!

Sorry guys, how can i had a setup (silentoptioncleaner) to a windows packege(setup package)?
For what i know i can not insert inside it !

I'm curious to know, is it possible to reduce the CPU fan speed of a GS60 2QE below the 44% (~2700rpm) that is mentioned in other threads?
This is the only thing that is annoying with the GS60 in idle mode. Would be great when the fan speed could be reduced to 2000rpm or below.

Currently I get the same error as tropicalflower or Wazabi so I can't test it.

@pito4all:
These two points are only the release news/changes for the new version.

I don't know if anyone notice but after set my CPU fan speed at 0-20-40-60-80 in advanced settings i notice coil whine.... and now cannot stop.... do anyone notice that?
MSI GS60-2PC Ghost

Application crashes on startup. I opened an instance of Visual Studio Debugger. The exact error is:

"An unhandled exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in PresentationCore.dll

Additional information: Cannot call Arrange on a UIElement with infinite size or NaN. Parent of type 'System.Windows.Controls.Grid' invokes the UIElement. Arrange called on element of type 'System.Windows.Shapes.Rectangle'."

Seems some value used directly by the interface (?!) isn't being read correctly. If i'm correct this would qualify as bad programming style :-)

My System is an MSI GS60 2PE. All required software as listed is installed.

Sorry to make you all confused, please check following system requirements before you install Silent Option, thank you.

Silent Option System requirement:
1. MSI SCM application must be installed.
2. WIN7:please install .Net Framework 4.0.
WIN8: Please install .Net Framework 4.0 or later version.
3. Admisnitstrator right on SilentOption installation.
4. Only supports limited models. Please refer to model list PDF file.
5. Only supports MSI laptop channel models.

For model support list, please download the link file on topic and extract Zip to get PDF list.

Also it works only with US/UK format (Date,clock....)

It can be useful for people who don't leave in this area  :emot-tip-wink:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEESSS !!!!!

Changed my region from Russia to English (United K), reinstalled the program, and it started working !!!!

Thank you !!!

I'm Happy now !

Changed in program to advanced, changed lowest value's to 0% and now during idle, web-browsing - Fans are switched off !
CPU fan - is always switched off, GPU fan from time-to time is switching on.
Temps are around 38-50''; with ambient temp 20-22'' !!!

Little question/thought -
1. is it safe, when fan from ~2000 rpm - immediately switching to 0 rpm (with-out some slowing down period) !?
2. is it possible to write real temperatures - in advanced mode instead of, or together with temp graph (blue to red stripe)
3. is it possible to make some bigger threshold(?) - for example ->now at 50" GPU fan is switching on and cooling aprox. till 47"; but to make so it would cool for at least 45" plus after reaching 45" - to keep it working for at least ~10-20 sec more !!!!!!  (because now it keeps switching on and off too very often, if in advanced mode, lowest values are set to 0%)

Have GT72 2QD-651NE

Silent option installs easy in win8 but when it starts Windows close it and say some problem prevent it to start.
Also it bugs dragon gaming center so it will crash when trying to open user interface.  :dope-slap:

After uninstall of silent option and complete shutdown and boot dragon gaming center Works Again.

Any idea what gives?

Well after changing my region it works for me too:):) yupiii
Now I wonder if it is possible in future to make more levels of fan speed then 6
