Upgrade 128GB RAM - Vector 16 HX AI A2XW

That's what MSI writes:
Up to DDR5-6400 Max 96GB 2 Slots *The actual frequency will vary by memory combination and CPU capability.

Hi zipper.sippola!

Yes, that's what the manufacturer's documentation says about the device, and that it supports memory up to 6400 MHz. However, in many cases in the past, these limits have been overcome without major problems, but I haven't been able to find anything in forums that exceeds 96 GB of RAM.

That's why I'm looking to see if anyone has done it and what tips they could give me for making such a change, or what problems those who have tried to do it have encountered.

What are you using the laptop for that needs that much RAM? Also, that may generate a lot of heat.
From the Crucial page in your link:
The selected configuration is not compatible with your Vector 16 HX AI A2XW (64x2)

Hi @dvair nice to meet you! I am using for charge LLM in the memory, I have Intel Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5080, the firt CPU used for tiny and voice LLM's and RTX for Code and reasoning LLM's, I currently need to make some changes and it's requiring a lot of RAM (increasing the context and changing models).

I Need know if possible upgrade ram of my laptop to 128GB, I find and review crucial webpage and see if possible https://eu.crucial.com/memory/ddr5/ct2k64g56c46s5
Please let me know if it's possible and if there are any complications.

The official specs are Up to DDR5-6400 and Max 96GB

But with a bit of luck (very capable CPU IMC), 128GB DDR5-5600 is possible:

See the CT2K64G56C46S5 kit.
But if you want to be on the safe side, my advice to you is the 2x48GB kit (CT2K48G56C46S5).
That will work with any Core Ultra 7 or 9 CPU.
