Hello,
I’m posting here because I’ve exhausted my patience with MSI’s RMA process and need urgent help to escalate my case.
My GPU: MSI RX 6600 Armor
Ticket Number: #1144140
Serial Number: 602-V502-33SB2201001030
Timeline:
Dec. 4: My GPU failed (no signal in HDMI/DP, only fans working).
Dec. 6: Submitted an RMA request through MSI Member Center.
Dec. 18: RMA finally approved (after 2 weeks of waiting). Dropped off GPU to retailer as instructed on the same day, and I was informed that the entire process will take 30–45 days, excluding holidays, Saturdays and Sundays!
Why This Is Urgent:
• I’m an IT student with no spare GPU or PC. Nor do I have spare PC I can use for the mean time
• I have no capability to buy a new one, It took me 3 years of saving for this PC.
• Im a freelancing working student. I already lost several clients, opportunities and income.
• The biggest hit is on my academics. I wasn't able to prepare efficiently for upcoming exam on Dec. 9–14. This includes projects, activities, thesis and research Papers I can't access because I don't have a working GPU.
• I also just can't swap my storage (M.2 SSD) to another PC, as I have already said. I don't have one. Even if I do, the risk of possible issues and corruption is high as my OS is installed on the same storage. Not only will I risk my own extremely important files, I risk other people's PC's stability. That's saying if they even have an M.2 slot in the first place.
My second semester begins early January (around January 5), and waiting until mid-to-end February could mean failing my course entirely. Our estimated date of examination is early March, and I have critical capstone projects incoming for my second semester. These projects are the culmination of my degree, requiring intensive research, development, and presentation, all of which are impossible without access to my PC. This delay jeopardizes not just my semester but my academic progress as a whole.
On top of that, I am already at the mercy of my professor for my first-semester research paper, which I could not complete on time due to this issue. This has put me in a vulnerable position academically.
As a freelancer, I’ve also already lost clients and income, further compounding the difficulties caused by this situation.
I’ve contacted MSI through email and Facebook, but all I’ve received are generic responses telling me to wait. This is unacceptable for a brand I trusted over competitors like ASUS and Gigabyte.
I’m asking for someone with authority to offer an alternative solution refund/store credit so I can resolve this quickly. This experience has severely shaken my trust in MSI.
If a moderator or representative can assist, please help me escalate this.
