Hello, I have a Tomahawk b450
2600 Ryzen, Corsair 650w PSU, a GPU Rx 550 4g.
I tried to clean my pc as I do always every 4-5 months.
I removed the CPU to clean everything, PINS ARE NOT BEND.
But I put too much thermal paste and got it to the pins. After that using 93° alcohol and a toothbrush I remove everything from it..
First time I got CPU red light on the right side of the mobo, after that vram. The most time the Boot light is on red.

What I have tried:
Reset bios by removing the battery CMOS and let 1 min off,
Flashing bios update with usb stick and pressing the flash button didnt work, tried to remove the rams and swap them etc etc nothing.
Monitor is working I tried it with a laptop .
Only black screen and black monitoR,

PLEASE , provide me info of fixing it. No bend pins, every cable is ok. I am going mad , I have no money to buy anything rn, everything was working at the morning.

Hi
I think you answered it yourself really. You got thermal paste to the socket, and perhaps this damaged something. Or while you were cleaning the socket.
At this point I'd remove the CPU and inspect the socket and the CPU with magnifying glass and bright light, possibly something is actually bent (or missing), or there is slightly more paste leftover somewhere.

Finally I managed to clean the socket from the pieces of stuck thermal paste.

I assume that thermal paste was bit of old (2 years) that's why.

One important question, is it possible that my CPU doesn't run with all the power as before like all the pins are not connected to the socket I will Face any lags or so?

Or if boots normal like now it means everything is fine?

Thanks for everything

If some of the pins truly aren't connecting with the socket somehow, it'll probably stop your computer from booting altogether...there aren't many "optional" pins. I would just try to boot and maybe run a benchmark if you want proof that the system still performs as it should.

Sounds like all the paste and alcohol have finally dried enough for it to no longer be an Insulator Thermal paste is not conductive so if in the socket it can prevent contact

If you lift the locking arm up and down a dozen times this will scrap any remaining paste of the contacts and Pins.

PS time to buy a Lotto Ticket see if your still lucky.

Guys another serious issue.
I am trying to get to my user but says
"Your pin is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Click to setup your pin again"
Probably because of the Bios reset and flash.
I tried to press the "setup my pin" but doesn't do anything at all,
I have another user which is just a regular user it doesn't get admin commands or not even a admin account.
I cannot fix this please any help?
I must not format this pc.

For your sanity just log in with your Account you know your email one, and not Windows Hellow select log in with Account, not Pin

Then go and Buy an Apple Mackintosh as you seem to have much bad luck with PC

As you can see in the image bellow there no this option available. I tried from safe mode but no luck at all. If I press the button it's loading but doesn't do anything at all.

Ya sorry but that is a Windows Problem

All I can suggest is you set up your BIOS the same as it was before
Are you on Win 11 or 10
