Using an msi curved monitor as a stand alone with magnifier for visually impaired

Can anybody advise how I can set up my new monitor to use a Helix magnifier camera. I have got to the stage where I switch on the monitor, the msi logo comes up, then it goes black. I can’t access the menu for setting up. Do I have to do this via the computer? I have tried this with power cable and hdmI cable link to both, but no luck. Help, what do I do next?
