I tried the following with bot 3*2GB set and 3*4GB set:
* Putting single RAM on slot 1 or 2 => No boot (beeps only, tried with different RAM's)
* Putting single RAM on slot 5 => OK (I only used DIMM5 socket and tested all RAM's there)
* Putting 2 identical RAM's in slots 3-5 or 4-6 works and shows correct amount
* Putting 3 RAMs in 1-3-5 or 2-4-6 slots: Behaves same as the previous, with 2GB RAMs 4GB is working, with 4GB RAMs 8GB is working => Thus I concluded there is a problem with the channel 1
Memory runs at stock speed (1066 MHz?). No overclock, no Extreme Profile. But it is shown on the BIOS that it is 8-8-8-19. But I already tried 9-9-9-24 manually with no success.
I'll check the BIOS readings and edit this post when my rendering is over
BUT:
The setup worked for 1 1/2 years without any problems until now.
There is no recent HW change (just upgraded to a better case a couple of mo?nths ago for better ventilation).
Thus I suspect a malfunction, not a misconfiguration or similar... What do you think?
Cheers
