Hi,
I have a Geforce3 MX460-VTP card, and in the box it says that the video capture resolution can go up to 1024x768, but when I try to capture, tha max resolution with all of the softwares I used is 720x480.

Does the card not deliver what it promisses, or do I have some sort of driver problem?

Althogh I think this is a common problem, I could not find anything similar on the forum archives.

Thanks.
Ricardo

Correction It?s a Geforce4 MX460-VTP

By the board specification, the max capture resolution should be 1024x768, and I can't see why the capture softwares won't get that high.......

well i don't see why you would want to capture at that res anyways, it will probabley eat 20megs a second, if your capturing off the TV go for 320x240/288 or off DVD's at 720x576

I think the built in chip can do 1024x768, but the drivers do not implement this. Or... they're lying. But I don't think so.
As Athlonix said, more than 720x576 is useless, since there is no source with so much resolution.

Anyway, I agree with you. MSI should announce the actual features of the product, not "future" or "possible" but not implemented ones.
