Hi there,

I am not sure if this is the right area to post or if I am doing this correctly but I was unable to post a help ticket.
So as the subject suggests I find that sometimes my keys stop working on my MSI Vigor GK40 US keyboard.
Namely the i and y keys that I have observed and I am unsure why, and was wondering if anyone would be able to help me?

I leave my computer on overnight and then when i come back to use my computer several hours later i find that my i and y keys do not work for some reason.

I was able to get it to work now by unplugging and then replugging the cable into the same USB port.

But I wonder if this is just a band aid solution.

i've bought this keyboard and i also suffering from this issue too,i've tried the keyboard with another laptop which has windows 8 on it and it seems the keyboard works well with the windows 8
my guess is the GK40 is not compatible with lastest version of windows 10,some key function will stop working after using several hours
can anyone answer our question for the sake of GOD ?

So the problem is Windows 10? If you were able to find a solution to this problem let me know. Unfortunately the keyboard is plug and used so we can not update any drivers to see if it will have any improvements. I just notice the problem last night. The letter "P" is not working, up button also and the F8, F9, F10, F11, and F12 are not working as well.

I got my GK40 working back to normal. I just set the Language of my computer into English (United States). Restarted the PC and the keyboard is now working just fine. I hope this will work for you as well.

Hi guys,

Glad to hear I am not the only one.

I know it's not very useful but in my case I just plugged in the keyboard again after not using it for several days and restarted my computer. I haven't had a problem with it since *touch wood*.

I'll follow aries11 suggestion if it screws up again. Though i'm hoping there won't be another issue.

I'll repost if I get the issue again on this thread.

Thanks for the help.

the problem back,again

Yeah, i Have the same problem, with the keys  p, and both shift keys. It has happened to me before, on october, and now the problem is back again, happened suddenly this afternoon.
I'm really upset, won't buy anything from this company again, this thread and simmilar ones have been going around for months and they don't come to talk to us, the users or give us a solution.

I'm posting this on my phone, because now half of the keys on my keyboard don't function. I just turned on the pc today (yesterday they worked fine but the p key) and today none of the left half of the keyboard works.

I'm tired of this, MSI should check what problem do their keyboards have, I bought mine on July, it lasted less than a five dollar keyboard, THIS IS TERRIBLE.

I have the same issue, Windows 10 and for no reason random keys stop working on the keyoard, seriously frustrating.  Right now I have no CTRL or SHIFT keys and no b key.  Proaly others that dont work I just have not used them yet.  MSI Support whats the deal with this, why is no one helping us reference this issue.  I sent an email to support weeks ago with NO RESPONSE.

i sent the keyboard to warranty they gave me new one,now it's working without any issue
if your keyboard stops working just send it to warranty and explain the problem to them
