Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is chaotic, challenging, and a whole lot of fun.

Just like the first game, Vermintide 2 plays a lot like Left 4 Dead, you got various linear missions to complete, the missions are usually built around making it through the level alive until you reach the end where you will be able to complete the "main objective" of the mission, throughout the level you will have to complete other tasks in order to progress, like fighting mini bosses, hordes of enemies, defending gates or something as simple as staying alive while a gate is opening.

you got a total of five characters with their own unique set of weapons & abilities. Each characters has 3 different versions, each version has it's own special ability and appearance.

Throughout the missions you can come across collectibles, which in the end grants you more XP hence giving you better loot. Each time you level up you will be rewarded with a chest containing 3 items of various sorts, and every time you complete a mission you will be rewarded another chest, this chest can be upgraded to contain better loot depending on how many collectibles you gather, as well if you manage to complete the mission or not, this chest essentially has it's own XP bar.

A treasure chest can contain anything from melee and ranged weapons to other items giving you special boosts and overall makes your character stronger. Playing on a higher difficulty gives you the potential to get higher quality loot.

The game is really difficult, but manages to do a great job in matching the difficulty with your gear. For example, when you first start up the game it will be really challenging, then once you start getting better gear you will be able to plow through a level without many problems, which indicates that it's time to up the difficult level.

Like most games (especially games designed for co-op) Vermintide 2 is best enjoyed with friends you can rely on, as I've noticed playing with random players can often lead to a lot of selfish actions such taking all the loot like healing potions etc, even if there's other people who needs it more. Vermintide 2 is built for teamplay, and as the game gets more difficult it will become harder and harder to ignore, so if you're a lone wolf who prefer to ride solo this may not be for you.

And as always, Fatshark delivers top-notch level design and graphics, as well as a amazing soundtrack and great voice performance from the talented voice actors.

If you're looking for a great co-op experience look no further, as Vermintide 2 has proved itself to be one of the best co-op games currently on the market.
