Hello MSI Community,
I’d like to alert everyone here about a fraudulent shop misusing MSI’s name at Low Yat Plaza, Kuala Lumpur. The store is listed on Google Maps as "MSI Official Store Plaza Low Yat KL," but based on my personal experience, it is not an authorized MSI store and engages in deceptive practices.
Key Issues to Be Aware Of:
1. Misrepresentation of Products:
The shop sold me a defective laptop, falsely claiming it was new, when in fact it had been used and activated years earlier.
When I requested a refund, they were uncooperative and gave conflicting responses.
2. Fake MSI Storefront on Google Maps:
The shop falsely claims to be an official MSI store, which can mislead customers into believing they are purchasing directly from a trusted MSI source.
3. Impact on MSI’s Reputation:
This type of fraudulent behavior harms MSI’s reputation, and I urge members to be cautious if visiting Low Yat Plaza or dealing with shops claiming to be MSI-certified without verification.
I've file a report with KPDN and will hopefully get a full refund. I wanted to warn other MSI members to avoid the same experience I had. If anyone else has encountered similar issues, please share your experience here.
