Hello
First of all, I so sorry for my english. I,m from Poland. I thought that on this English forum is more experts in hardware. Please help me. I want to update bios because I want to instal new processor ex Phenom II x4 or X6. I have motherboard MSI NF520T-C35 (ms 7615 ver 1.0) bios version 1.0 oryginal. I download files in https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/NF520TC35 I try version next of my 1.1 and one of the latest 1.6. Can I update to the latest version, or update first to 1.1 next 1.2 etc. ?
I format pendrive in FAT32 system files and extract files to this device. The main file is name A7615NMS.110. Restart my computer, press DEL and in bios I choose M-flash section. In this I choose my pendrive and I see the warnings. Full text is:

"Warning: ROMID dismatch, Re-select
Warning: ROMID dismatch, Force Flash"
On the bottom I upload image print screen.

I'm scared press Force Flash. I don't want kill my motherboard and I do not want to make a mistake. Do you know that is a problem ? You can give me advice ?

Thank you in advance. Regards

What files did you extract? Did you extract more than 1 bios file?

1 bios. I extract all files in ZIP. There are "7615v1x.txt", "A7615NMS.110", "AFUD4310.exe" and "How to flash the BIOS.doc".

don't flash anything yet, especially with M-Flash...
tell the full ID of your current BIOS

Take a picture of your main BIOS page and post it here.

Go into the "Standard CMOS Settings" option and take a picture there.

for this old class BIOS,
check the full BIOS ID during BIOS post/logo screen.
[remove the full screen logo(if its enabled) by pressing TAB while booting)
and hit "Pause" key to stop the screen,
then check the full BIOS ID string written on the screen.
Example:

oki, you can go for the latest version 1.7:
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/NF520TC35

for flashing, do not use M-Flash
instead use  >>Use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher<<,
with Mode 1 and point the tool to this link:
http://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7615v17.zip

1) Do I have to do bootable USB ? If so, how to do it correct?

2) Or I should only copy the latest version bios on usb. Restart PC and press F11 or something like that. And that all ? Bios will automatically update ? Is it true?

3) What do you mean by saying "Mode 1" ?

yes, when you use the MSIHQ Tool, choose "Fix my usb key"
then re-run it again to prepare the USB key it will do everything automatically.

2) Or I should only copy the latest version bios on usb. Restart PC and press F11 or something like that. And that all ? Bios will automatically update ? Is it true?
no need to copy anything manually on the USB key, the MSIHQ tool will do everything
after that reboot computer and boot from USB key with F11,
then choose your USB key and proceed with update by following the simple automated instructions.

3) What do you mean by saying "Mode 1" ?
when you run the MSIHQ Tool,
then choose Mode 1 to prepare the USB key

I did it. I have the latest official bios 1.7. Thank you very much. I'm very very happy.

I have last question. Can I put into my motherboard processors Phenom II X6 1055T ? On the official support webside I read that it is possible. I think it is one of the best processor. It isn't problem with it ? Can I pun into my motherboard this Phenom X6 and everything will be OK on the latest version of bios ? Can I meet problems?

Yes, it should work just fine with BIOS V1.7 installed on the motherboard.

I have problem with bios. At the beginning, everything was OK. But now when I try enter to the bios and press F10 or press "Save and Exit" the bios freeze (jams). I can only press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart but no settings save. Is the motherboard damaged? Can I fix it? Can you give me advise ?
Thank you in advance.

I am having this same issue with updating my BIOS on an MSI 870-G45. I am having issues installing Windows 10 and my research has brought me to updating the BIOS. Everything up there seems to match up perfectly to my issue except that mine is a clean install. Therefore the MSIHQ tool isn't an option since there is no operating system yet. I am sure I have downloaded the correct BIOS update from the MSI website because the file name matches the required name shown in the m-flash BIOS screen.

Any thoughts on this situation?

you can prepare the USB key in another computer,
then to move it the machine which you gonna flash.
