Happen to me yesterday going from V16>V17 via M-Flash

RMA is the only fix I have been told - 2-4 week wait - not possible , it is my new CAD Workstation.....

I have reported it and spoken to TS , but the Bios is still up on the support page.....

I got refused RMA because of some minor bent pins on the sockets from my retailer, I don't know what to do, I'm pretty pissed.

Understandable. What gets me mad is the 15-35 business days. Additionally from the z490 gaming carbon manual troubleshooting section - " Use the secondary BIOS to bootup the system (Only for motherboard with Dual Bios)". It doesn't have dual bios.............

So they turned my RMA around in two days! Impressive except they did a straight replacement - now I have to deal with re-activation of windows lol

What do you think. After succesfull 3 times bios update on my Z490 Tomahawk now Im thinking about the update to the newes one - 7C80v1A, but well.. Im worry
Everything works fine, except 1 Win 11 crash (its RTM ver so...). Should I take the risk? xD
p.s. since when BIOS become WINDOWS (11) compatible/supported?

My Z490 is bricked too... I updated my bios via Dragon Center.
It appends but ... Never with any Asus I had in the past !

Can you reply to my thread using the "form" at the bottom of the first post? !!! Warning: Z490 boards - problem with recent BIOS updates !!!

Sadly, taking out devices or the battery won't do anything if you have this problem. It will only reset your BIOS settings, not fix a broken BIOS that can't boot anymore.

Updated BIOS using Dragon Center. After the reboot, there was a strange short rattle sound, the white indicator is on, nothing is loaded. Keyboard and mouse it seems not powered.
