I keep seeing this on most MSI Intel boards that MSI wants to update the MEI firmware to "- ME Firmware ver: ME_16.1.30.2264"
But they do not say why I need this . see here
So what exactly are the changes and why should I bother to update it ?

So I updated the ME firmware to 16.1.30.2361, but the intel tool says there's still a vulnerability in it.
And my CB R23 score (4 minutes) went from 35247 to 34392. I tried downgrading to a lower version, but the oldest I could find was 16.1.30.2264 (I had 16.1.27.2216 before that) and not even downgrading to bios 7E06v18 (2023-09-14) helped and I didn't want to risk going lower. But with 16.1.30.2264 (and the newest bios) I have now 34655 points.

And my CB R23 score (4 minutes) went from 35247 to 34392.

2.43% lower, barely outside the margin of error. I wouldn't put too much importance on that, i'd rather have the latest ME version (even though we are never quite sure what they are fixing/changing in there).

I went back to an even older bios to get an old ME firmware, but now when I got back to the newest bios it also applied the new ME firmware this time apparently (even before I booted into an OS)

Aha! So it could depend on the ME FW version that you're updating from. This could explain why the ME was updated when i updated some of these boards, because three of them were on a several versions older BIOS.

Yeah, like i tend to say, there's no need to hunt for the last few hundred points in Cinebench. Around that 2% difference, these things can come from background tasks or whatever else, and they are neither perceptible nor really relevant. It's only important that your score is in the ballpark. If you hunt a certain score too much, usually you end up worsening something else.

аfter update on the latest version i have now in the "BIOS" more instruction like a => after changing MHz of memory "BIOS" show a message about this changing, ;D
