  1. RAM Type: Your motherboard, MS-16R5, is compatible with DDR4 RAM. You should look for DDR4 RAM modules when making your purchase.
  2. RAM Capacity: You mentioned that your motherboard can be upgraded to 64GB of RAM. If you want around 16GB, you can go for two 8GB DDR4 RAM modules. This is a common configuration for laptops.
  3. RAM Speed: Check the supported RAM speed by your motherboard. It's usually mentioned in the motherboard specifications. You can buy DDR4 RAM modules that match or are faster than the supported speed.
  4. RAM Form Factor: Ensure that the physical size of the RAM modules (form factor) matches what is supported by your laptop. Laptops typically use SO-DIMM (small outline dual in-line memory module) RAM modules.
  5. Number of RAM Slots: Make sure your laptop has available RAM slots for the additional RAM modules. Since you mentioned you want to upgrade to around 16GB, it's likely that you have some slots available.
  6. Dual-Channel Configuration: For optimal performance, try to install RAM modules in pairs if your laptop supports dual-channel memory configuration. This would involve installing two identical RAM modules, like two 8GB modules, instead of a single 16GB module.
  7. Brand and Compatibility: While many RAM brands should work, if you want to be certain about compatibility, you can check your laptop manufacturer's website or contact their support for a list of recommended or compatible RAM modules.
In summary, look for two 8GB DDR4 SO-DIMM RAM modules with a speed that matches or is faster than your motherboard's supported RAM speed. This should allow you to upgrade your laptop to around 16GB of RAM and potentially improve its performance, especially if you're using memory-intensive applications or tasks.

DDR4-2666Mhz, 2x 8GB (16GB Total)
Samsung is what normally comes on it, but G.Skill works fine also, on all my laptops.
Many use Crucial and seem to be satisfied.
CL17 or CL18 will work fine, my CL16 G.Skill work fine also.
